The Peugeot 208 launch must just around the corner, as the Peugeot Malaysia Facebook page has been on a teaser campaign the past week. The latest teaser is a photo of both 3-door and 5-door versions of the Peugeot 208 loaded on trailers on the way to Peugeot Blue Box showrooms.
We’ve discovered photos of the Malaysian spec Peugeot 208 on our classifieds website oto.my in the past, so you can check out our past story to see how the Malaysian spec car’s interior looks like. They appear to have been taken from a dealer preview event. If the spec level shown in those photos are what will eventually be launched in the showrooms, the eye-level touch screen display seems to have made it past our tax barriers intact.
Looking to sell your car? Sell it with Carro.
On pre launch picture look big why the real one kind a small?
If you’re looking at the blue one, that’s the two door option, that’s why it looks smaller.
Now malaysian can choose what car they want. There are ample of cars they can choose conti, kamchi or japs or american or malaysian. Preve’ is not a bad car. Peugeot 208 super mini is nice. Now days people seldom talk abt RV. Driving pleasure, good design & safety is the criteria now days. P 2 have to buck up its like driving a cofin on the road. P1 hav shown their commitment on safety. Malaysian gov thru Miros hav slowly gearing towards the right direction… which is good for malaysian consumer. …..
Off topic. Drb Hicom suppose to unveil Proton turnaround plan by March. Where is it? Not that I’m excited about it, I’m just want to see promises are delivered. March about to end
They are waiting for GE13 maybe…
The car is quite small outside compared with the 207 and 206, but interior is slightly bigger, so do the boot space. Sadly seeing from the UK spec the glove box is very small due to the fuse box.
parking the 206/7 sedan side by side with the 208 shows that the 208 is indeed bigger. but rear legroom is much better compared to the earlier model.
saw the car last week at peugeot glenmarie… cute…
Welcome to Malaysia, 208!!
i pilih pug 208 over vw polo!!!
Good for u….but if u need performance, the polo hatch 1.2 TSI is more fun & powerful but a bit expensive, u get wat u pay for
I surely wouldnt pay more for DSG headache…ppl say peugeot is unreliable well look no further than VW, its boring and ultra unreliable.
I know this car is a very beautiful car but then the price(rumour) are around RM90k(maybe this is the 3 door 1.6THP) is a bit expensive. Plus, 1.2 engine is a bit too underpowered when compared with the Fiesta engine which is priced around RM85k. If this car is priced around the Rio, it’d good enough since the car’s look insanely good. Maybe RM75k-RM80k price range is acceptable for the 1.2 variant.
Other than that, I havent seen the blue one on the 5 door variant, only for the 3 door for now. Just wondering, are they gonna bring in the colour with the 5-door one as well ? Hope so
it is a 1.6VTi. no 1.2.
well…its not a 1.2…its a 1.6…if u have read from previous postings :)
AL4 gearbox?
Latest news! Nissan America is filing a case against pug for copying their nissan 370z rear lamp design language. http://www.nissan.com/news/design_infringement_20130203.html

Bob, hw much discount Proton give??
Why everyone here only say good things about Naza – Peugeot, Proton and Perodua, kutuk all the rest? This place must be filled with people from these companies!
Why come to this blog must kutuk only ah? If it is good then why not say it, right? So if I praise another brand, does it mean I work for them also? Come on, try not to be so shallow and be a bit more mature about your comments.
So, which competitor do you work for?
