Lamborghini turns 50 this year and in classic Sant’Agata fashion is celebrating its Golden Jubilee in exuberant style. The stark raving mad three-of-a-kind Veneno would have been more than special enough for most, but this is Lamborghini we’re talking about. Subtlety isn’t its forte, being dramatic is.
Step forward the Shanghai-bound Lamborghini Aventador LP720-4 50 Anniversario Edition. These leaked pictures come courtesy of German mag Autobild, showing the anniversary special’s Giallo Maggio yellow paintwork and new black carbonfibre aero package. The interior follows this distinctive colour scheme too.
It may be a bit too much for you and me, but that’s precisely what the exclusive Lamborghini clientele wants. This model will be a bit more exclusive than others though, with a limited 100-unit production run.
With 720 hp as the name suggests (that’s 20 hp more than a standard Aventador, 30 horses less than the Veneno), it’ll get from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 350 km/h. More details to come when it’s officially revealed in Shanghai later this week.

anybody can own one, the main problem is maintaining. thats why i think cars like the mclaren mp4 maybe a more realistic supercar for us to dream of owning.
