The Citroen C-Elysee sedan made an appearance at the Citroen stand in Auto Shanghai 2013 next to the handsome DS Wild Rubis concept. First shown in the middle of last year, the C-Elysee was designed as a world car for the PSA brand, a sister to the Peugeot 301 that has the same brief.
The world car brief means that the C-Elysee gets appropriate clearance and tyres, plus additional under-body protection for less than smooth roads. The sedan also features reinforced body part design with the use of positive attachments, read screws.
With a footprint of 4.43 m long and 1.7 m wide, the Citroen C-Elysee is similar in size to a Honda City, although a wheelbase of 2.65 m is very long for a B-segment sedan. This should translate to very good cabin space, and the roominess extends to the boot as well, which has a capacity of 506 litres.
Three engines are slated for the C-Elysee, a VTi 72 petrol engine (72 bhp, 110 Nm) designed to be fuel efficient and robust, the new VTi 115 engine and the proven HDi 92 diesel engine. Do you think the Citroen C-Elysee will fare well in ASEAN as a rival to the popular Toyota Vios and Honda City?

i tot new mitsubishi hehe..
Exterior-wise, the Peugeot 301 looks much better than the Citroen C-Elysee.But hopefully Naza could bring one of them or both models to Malaysia to spice up the B-segment market.
wow this is tempting…citroen 1.5 liter car sounds good
Looks isn’t that attractive,VTi 72 might be underpower but VTi 115 isn’t the case I think. But the looks is hideous. Especially the showcar, the rims is just ugly.
if it’s priced well under 70k… why not? after all it’s a Citroen brand… please be aware that Malaysians are more interested towards the competitive pricing and well-known brands…
Without you asking us to be aware, we wouldn’t have known that malaysians are interested in cheap cars from reputable brands.
Please be advised that I am thanking you in advance. Yours sincerely,

Even under 70k, I don’t think it well sell well actually. Cars under 80k are usually low to middle income. In Malaysia, people from this income usually want a car, just a compact car, got 4 wheels, a boot and brake, that’s it. They don’t care what is driving dynamic or fun driving. They just want a car from point A to B. And most importantly, reliability, parts availability and parts price. That explain why the hideous Dugong sell so well in Malaysia. And French car are well known for their Proton like breakdown and BMW like parts price. You ended up paying half price of your car for maintenance.
I think the Peugeot 301 look better as it has a slight premium look despite being the same car in essence.
To sell it here for less than RM80k for a French brand is very ambitious. But I approve, just hope it doesn’t get stripped too much in equipments.
front headlamp looks like mitsu/inspira
back lamp looks like some peugeot car
for small sedan better buy saga fl/flx, cheap n reliable.
