Peugeot RCZ Magnetic edition announced for the UK

peugeot rcz magnetic 01

Ah, another short-run special, one that dresses up an already striking figure. France and Germany had the Onyx, and now it’s the United Kingdom’s turn – the Peugeot RCZ Magnetic Limited Edition will be heading across the Channel, with just 170 examples to be had. These will span over three variants, the 1.6 THP 156 and THP 200 petrol, and 2.0 HDi 163 diesel.

So what does going the Magnetic route bring about? Enhanced equipment, for one – a Sport trim level adds an soft-touch leather steering wheel and short-shift gear lever as well as sports seats. Also on, 19-inch Sortilege wheels finished in onyx matt black and a ‘black pack’ of goodies, which lends the roof arches, front grille, door mirror covers and brake calipers said shade.

Two exterior colours are available for the RCZ Magnetic, Pearlescent Pearl white or Metallic Nera black – going the white route gets a black interior, while black bags the red flame leather interior as seen in the pix.

im sure even the AUDI TT RS also cannot beat this RCZ in terms of ride, handling, power, efficiency and design..

            Not dreaming.
Its thru TT is not a good car to drive and also the megane.

            becoz i OWNED the e60 M5..
brand new (not like those TTS or TTRS all grey importer) and not reliable engine and gearbox.

this CRZ is same thing as BMW in Malaysia; new and fully supported by the local distributor (NOT recon like urs; thats why u buy megane becoz it has support not like TTS or TTRS)…

The 200hp TT got beaten on the track by this severally. Happened a while ago so it could be considered stale news but iirc, it was covered by carscoop

Awesome car from peugeot. Rarely find peugeot as tempting as this model… true sport car. with minimal rear head and leg room. huhuhu. but still very nice…

          Same la..
          Still a DSG..
DSG is direct shift gear box which utilizes dual clutch(s)…
However its been marketed different names under the brand..

          Porch with PDK…
          VW/Seat/Skoda/Bugatti with DSG…
          Audi with S-Tronic..

          Still same…
Just different name for marketing purposes…

No way on: I read all your comments and I love your points of arguments especially when you do the back hand smashes. Cool.

  • Owning my RCZ (brand new) for over a year, I still get excited every time I am in the driver seat. Mine is 200hp manual version. Very smooth, very powerful. Design is much nicer than Audi TT (which is way outdated).

The Auto 156hp version is a bit under power in my opinion.

Yes, RCZ uses the same Prince engine as in Mini Cooper S, but every factory tunes their engine differently. RCZ sports is over 250hp, though on actual road production is keep to 200hp (manual version). The engine is good.

so call this a “limited edition” then proceed to cost saving measures by limiting it to two colours. people for fall it anyway. MARKETING.

some people actually don’t mind paying a bit more for a special edition as they can afford it. it is perhaps their way of standing out by having something a little different from the norm.

all car’s also have inherent problem. some, can be fixed, some, you need to learn to live with. if you find that it will be an issue, then the best is to let go of it.
