Hot on the heels of Polyphony Digital and Sony’s Gran Turismo 6 comes Forza Motorsport 5, which has just been revealed as a launch title for Microsoft’s next-generation console, the Xbox One. The handful of screenshots and trailer below has left me giddy with excitement; too bad the launch is still a few months away.
Set to debut on the brand new state of the art platform (unlike GT6 that will launch on the eight-year old PlayStation 3), developer Turn 10 Studios’ Forza 5 will most definitely take the crown of the most graphically intense console racing game yet. The detail seen in the screenshots of the McLaren P1 rivals that of real-life photos!
The game is set to take advantage of the Xbox One’s ergonomically-improved controller with its new “impulse trigger” feature. Small rumble motors placed inside the rear triggers will feed real-time sensations of the engine revving or even bumps on the road straight to your fingertips, increasing the sense of player emersion.
