Aston Rapide Shooting Brake may make production

Aston Martin Rapide Shooting Brake

Aston Martin is considering putting the one-off Geneva-debuting Bertone Jet 2+2 concept into limited production as the Aston Martin Rapide Shooting Brake, reports Autocar UK.

If given the go-ahead, the estate will be Aston’s range-topper, the British publication says, adding that both Aston and Bertone really want to make it happen. The Italian styling house will build the car in Turin if fewer than 10 units are to be made; otherwise, the British firm will build it in Gaydon, Warwickshire.

Based on the standard Rapide (not the Rapide S), the Bertone Jet 2+2 was created as a one-off specially for a car collector, celebrating 100 years of Aston Martin and 60 years of collaboration between the British marque and Bertone.

Everyone were talking about how the Rapide looks better than the Panamera. And now, we have a mutant Rapide looking like Panamera. Best of both worlds? Err…I think not.

  • It’s hideous. Just like the Panamera and FF. Leave well enough alone.

Not bad at all. Quite impressive looks, even looking from the front ppl will though it’s a exotic 2door car. Aston Martin will gradually improve in future. We should wait n see. Great job!
