Rockabilly lifestyle boutique Switchblade Kuala Lumpur presented the second edition of Malaysia’s first Kustom Kulture & Hot Rod Show last weekend – Art of Speed Malaysia – at Citta Mall, Ara Damansara. This follows the inaugural event held at Publika last year.
With the tag line, “Celebrating Art in Automotive Culture” the event showcased the crossover of art to automotive culture and the lifestyle of its enthusiasts. Art of Speed Malaysia is modeled after the successful Mooneyes Yokohama Hot Rod & Custom Show that recently celebrated its 21st anniversary.
Held over two days with gallery exhibitions in addition to many amazing cars and bikes, exhibitors were exclusively invited to the show for a quality spread. The Best of Show Winner Ku Zen Tuan Ismail (1947 Harley-Davidson Knucklehead) will be heading to the 22nd Mooneyes Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show this December on Switchblade’s tab.
Art of Speed Malaysia 2013 welcomed 60,000 spectators, while 254 owners were invited to display their hot rods, American muscle cars, Japanese old school rides, choppers and lowrider bicycles.
