Caterham recently announced that the limited edition ‘40 Years of Caterham’ pack has sold out less than a month after it was announced, following huge interest from UK and overseas customers.
The pack was commissioned by Caterham to celebrate its 40 years of manufacturing and developing the iconic Caterham Seven. In a limited run, the pack was available at no extra cost to the first 40 Seven buyers from May 9.
The first of the ‘40YOC’ Sevens are already in production, with first orders due to be delivered to customers in July, just in time for summer in the UK.
Along with a unique, limited edition plaque, the celebratory pack included ruby red ‘40YOC’ paint with bespoke bonnet stripes, hand-tailored leather seats, dashboard and interior, a custom made key machined from aluminium and new 15-inch silver alloy wheels.
The Malaysian-owned company, which has a partnership with Renault to build sports cars, has a current range of Sevens that stretch from the Roadsport 125 at £19,995 (RM98,755) to the top-of-the-range £42,495 (RM209,882) Superlight R500.
Earlier this month, Caterham teased an entry-level Seven that will cost less than £17k (RM83,962) and debut in the autumn.
