When the Audi A6 Hybrid was first launched in February 2013, the car was given a base price of RM280k OTR without insurance, with Comfort Key as a RM3k option and a reverse camera as an RM5k option.
However, the car came with a standard sound system and while a BOSE sound system was talked about at launch, there wasn’t a price given. Sales advisors that we spoke to at that time said the first few batches would only have Comfort Key and reverse camera options and the BOSE sound system option would only be coming later. At that point of time, the regular A6 2.0 TFSI could be upgraded to a B&O system.
Well, for those that want a better sound system to accompany the silence that the A6 Hybrid affords can now specify it – the Bose sound system option is officially priced at RM5k. This means a fully loaded Audi A6 Hybrid will now cost RM293k, still well below any of it’s competition.

No this is not a snob’s car. It is not a luxury car. It is not even a car actually.
Clearly this German marque is a high output vacuum cleaner that sucks all the excess cash that is flooding the Malaysian market. This excess cash is the reason behind rampant property speculation, inflation, robbery, Nigerian con students, the big gap between the rich and the poor and of course, launching of the Proton Saga SV.
Today I commend the buyers of this cash sucker. At the rate of 5.87% depreciation per day, the Audi A6 Hybrid is a big sucker of hot money and an anti-quantitative easing monster at its best.
My Toyota Avanza is of course, the car that dreams are made of.

Lol @ audi, don’t they realize Bose systems are generally regarded as ‘low end’ audio compared to B&O now being offered at no extra cost for the A4 instead.

Cheap la… Even with insurance also below rm300k. That price u can only buy a c250 or 328i. Hybrid some more… Bang for the ringgit. Thanks for the add on rm5k. Still worth it…

audi is a great car elsewhere, but not in malaysia where the dealer is just so stuck-up and does not deliver . Audi approved is supposed to market pre owned ut hs no cars. price of audi’s seems unrealistic. Audi should be marketed by Audi AG and not by DRB. Look at proton, just going down the drain!
Not sure what it sounds like in the A6 Hybrid but the B&O system in the Q5 leaves alot to be desired.
Midrange is lacking and it is not as crisp as it could be. The BOSE system in the Cayenne S sounds far superior.
