Proton Edar and Pos Malaysia join forces – PosLaju services now available at selected Proton Edar outlets

Proton edar poslaju

Proton Edar and Pos Malaysia will be working more closely with the appointment of Proton Edar as a PosLaju authorised agent. The two DRB-Hicom member companies officially launched the collaboration yesterday.

Through the collaboration, PosLaju services will be offered at selected PE outlets, with selected services such as Next Day Delivery for documents and parcels, PosLaju International – Express Mail Services (EMS) available at these outlets.

Four Proton Edar outlets in the Klang Valley kick things off. Nine more outlets in Peninsular Malaysia by July 5 and two outlets in East Malaysia by the end of July are set to follow.

Proton Edar says that its extensive nationwide network – with its strategically located and easily accessible showrooms – will enable it to provide additional services to its customers. To date, more than 100 PosLaju authorised agents have been appointed, and now PE has joined that growing fold.

So stupid our corporate figures. Since Bernas is part of the group, why dont you sell beras in Proton Edar outlets also?
This is the mentality of our corporate culture. The result of brain drain in Malaysia Instead of improving their services, they are selling other things. Typical mentiality of Utim and Mara graduates who have shot up the corporate ladder to become Management.

When everyone read these article, everybody is already set their mind to think negatively, look at the bright side, let say if you urgently want to post something and pos office is currently crowded with people paying bills etc, you can go to Proton Edar centre. It is a initiative to diverge the crowd from Post Office.

I can confirm that they are using Pos Malaysia for their services. I’ve dealt with Proton Edar reps for their used cars, the documents were always sent using Poslaju.

However, I doubt UMW will need FedEx help to bring in new customers, there are always blind fans out there to buy their overpriced cars.

Proton dengan pos memang DRB yg punya. Takde yang mengarut. Org beli kereta semua kena beli insurans dan signature dokumen.Kerjasama antara syarikat.Jangan sedap nak mengutuk je.Tak beli kereta pos laju mmg diperlukan. At list sambil nak hntr barang guna pos laju blh tgk showroom. So apa ada hal. Kedai sparepart pun pakai dispatch hantar barang ke bengkel.

Ye ke? Diorang hantar dokumen banyak sangat sampai kene ade kaunter Poslaju sendiri? Orang datang kirim barang ade masa nak tengok kete? Kalo macam tu, kenapa tak tukar pejabat POS ke showroom Proton sekali? Kan lagi banyak pejabat POS kalo banding ngan showroom Proton Edar.

Cuba fikirkan senario berikut:
Bini: Bang, nanti lepas keje kene kutip kerete baru, tapi tak sempat lak nak beli barang dapur. Macam mana ni bang?

Bang: Lah, kan Proton Edar ada semua. Kalo tak sempat nak kutip kete pon, boleh lah kirim ngan Poslaju.

Bini: Ah ah ah, ye bang. Betul tu. :-)

imho, there is nothing wrong with it. even though these two are in one corporation (DRB), they are still two different entities with different core business. i dont believe that edar will ask personnel from Poslaju to repair the car, dont they?
“encik posmen, tolong tukar minyak hitam kereta saya.”
instead of opening new branch, it is like Poslaju only share a place in edar outlet. cut cost, give benefits to edar in term of delivery parts, documents to HQ etc.
What if Mualamat open its ATM in edar? Will you guys argue the same thing?

Hah, lagi satu idea yang bernas. Posmen boleh jadi mekanik bergerak pula. Kalo tak sempat hantar kete untuk servis, boleh lah mintak posmen uruskan.

Lah, kalo ATM tu lain cerita la ooi. Takkan nak booking kete takyah deposit. Lagi berguna daripada kaunter pos.

the point i’m trying to say here about the ATM is, there is no wrong for them to put service that they themselves own. unless they put DHL or CIMB outlet in edar, then it would be a waste. the cash flow is still within the organization. even Alam Flora are now in charge for cleaning purpose in proton property.

Proton should be concentrating on coming out with superior products to silence its critics. Dah 30 tahun dapat preferential treatment pun tak jugak deliver.

Instead, they’ve chosen to associate the brand with a legacy service from the old economy. This is pure stupidity. I doubt there’ll be substantial improvement in their bottom line from this Pos Laju tie-up, if any.

Meanwhile, the ordinary Malaysian suffers from high car prices, mainly to support the national car industry (read: Proton). You guys at Proton please lah, buat orang malu laa …
