Last October, it was reported that an electric version of the Kia Soul was on the cards, set to join the European line-up next year. Now, our European spyshot guys from CarPix have snapped what is supposedly a Kia Soul EV evaluation mule.
The all-electric vehicle will of course be based on the second-gen Kia Soul, which debuted in New York in March. Reports indicate that the Soul EV, expected to arrive in the first half of 2014, will have a 200 km range on a single charge as well as a 140 km/h top speed and a 0-100 km/h time of under 12 seconds.
Unlike the front wheel-drive Ray EV, which was only sold in South Korea, the Soul EV is set to be a global, mass-produced vehicle for the brand. Hamsters of the world can rejoice at the thought of going about as quiet as a mouse, no doubt.
