Following the facelift of the Renault Samsung SM5 for Korea last year, its Euro-market twin sister now goes down the same route. The updated Renault Latitude is set to be unveiled at the Frankfurt show next month.
On the menu are new headlamps with DRLs, LED tail lamps and new wheel designs, while the grille and front bumper have been reworked. Renault hasn’t released pictures of the interior, so we’ll probably have to wait for the wraps to come off to see if anything’s changed inside. There should be new equipment though, including an updated infotainment system.
The 2.0 litre dCi (in 150 and 175 hp states of tune) and 240 hp 3.0 litre dCi V6 powerplants are expected to remain, but the French carmaker could introduce a 180 hp turbocharged 1.6 litre TCe unit that is to be found in the Renault Samsung SM5.
The Renault Latitude’s smaller sibling, the Fluence (Renault Samsung SM3 in Korea) received its facelift late last year.
