Honda Fit Shuttle given minor nip and tuck in Japan

2013-honda-fit-shuttle-facelift-08

Although the new Honda Fit (known as the Honda Jazz in Malaysia) has been unveiled, it has debut only in five-door hatchback form, which means its derivatives may continue on for some time.

One such spinoff is the Fit Shuttle, which is the wagon version of the Fit. The Fit Shuttle was previously known as the Honda Airwave in the previous generation of Fit/Jazz, and you can find a few recond units on oto.my.

While it waits to be updated or perhaps axed, the Honda Fit Shuttle gets an update for 2013. It continues to be available with two engines – a 1.5 litre i-VTEC engine or a 1.3 litre IMA Hybrid, similiar to the range available for the Honda Jazz CKD here in Malaysia. Updates are minor, with a redesigned front bumper and grille, new alloy wheels, and new interior trim.

it is quote norm to JDM. nothing strange

Toyota has bB, raum, noah, picnic/ipsum, estima, gaia and alphard/vellfire while not forgetting america minivans like sequioa & sienna. they are all in the same MPV section, not forgetting the budget avanza and innova.

the same goes to Nissan with its Serena, Prairie, Presage, Lafesta and Elgrand. many models fighting at the same category.

Do like the low and wide load space.
Pity we don’t get more wagon choices here beyond the compact MPVs.

As an aside, when would these wagon/MPV people learn to carpet the sides of the panels, which given what it will be used for, will undoubtedly get scratched.

The featured pic looks odd. It’s as if the car has been Photoshopped into the background. The rear end looks as though it’s already in the hedge at the back.
