As the motoring world prepares, or rather, braces itself for the introduction of a Bentley SUV in 2016 (and a high-riding Rolls-Royce to go against it), new reports have come in to suggest that the ultra-luxury British brand may be readying a less expensive four-door coupe model to rival the BMW M6 Gran Coupe and Mercedes CLS 63 AMG. Can someone say blasphemy?
Car Magazine UK reports that the Bentley four-door coupe will slot in below the Continental GT family (range-topping W12, 625 PS Conti GT Speed pictured here), and be the cheapest Crewe-built models come 2018. Moving downwind to take on BMW and Mercedes will increase Bentley’s sales volume and of course, shoot up its profitability.
Planned to be similar in size to the current Continental GT (under five metres), the new model will make use of the Porsche-developed MSB platform destined for the next-gen Panamera. Another viable option is the Audi D5 base being readied for the next A8 limo, but the Car report claims that Bentley designers are siding with the more flexible MSB.
Another factor is the preferred power/drivetrain arrangement. While Audi’s quattro system is based off a front-wheel drive architecture, the MSB platform allows a more rear-wheel drive-biased application, while still offering the choice of all-wheel drive. Being a modular design, it can be stretched or shortened to suit the third-gen Continental range and the next Mulsanne flagship too.

Proton Suprima S is still the best, this bentley sounds like bengkang bengkok.
pls realize the truth…and make more survey which 1 is bengkang bengkok. dont always be juara kampung.
Nevermind la, ppl was patriotic and loyal to our own country brand, dun fight ya bengkang bengkok dengan juara kampung. bukan satu level yang same…
patriotic and loyal to our own country is good but it doesnt meant we can ignored the truth! realize what we need to improve and settle it, make us proud of it.
very “ECO” car if u know what i mean
rear seat looks comfortable.
This is essentially a saloon with steeply raked roofline. Somehow, calling it a coupe make it sound sporty and allow Bentley charge a higher price than both the saloon and two-door coupe.
wow,very good lah
bentley and RR still inherit old fashion car philosophy tht means bigger is better. Just shows how ignorant they r, really not helping mother nature.
Only for the elites, certainly not for us over here. The most for commenters here are maybe Benz, Bmw or Audi.
