SPYSHOTS: BMW X4 interior revealed, similar to X3

This latest set of spyshots by our European spy photographers reveal some new things about the upcoming BMW X4 that we haven’t seen before. First is the M Sport package, which can be seen on the white car above. The M Sport features larger air intakes on the front end, compared to the normal X4.

The rear end is heavily disguised with swirly tape so we can’t see what the differences are there. We also noticed BMW also didn’t include any ‘Air Breather’ vents on the X4, a design feature that has appeared on recent BMWs such as the 4-Series, F15 X5 and the 3 GT.

These spy shots also show us the interior of the BMW X4, which is pretty much what we expected to see – a carryover of the X3’s design. The X6 interior was pretty close to the X5’s as well, but it included extra leg padding near the gear lever area for more support during cornering.

There will no doubt be minor differences when you take a closer look, but we expect some of these changes to be carried over to the BMW X3 LCI when it is eventually released.

As a parting shot, here’s the BMW X4 parked next to its sibling the BMW X3. They’re of the same size, with the X4’s sloping roofline differentiating it from the X3, giving it a sportier appearance at the expense of rear legroom and luggage space.

The X4 was previewed by the BMW Concept X4 at Auto Shanghai 2013. We were there at the unveiling where Harvinder recorded a walkaround video with BMW TV – check it out here: VIDEO: BMW Concept X4 at Auto Shanghai 2013.

    It’s quite mind boggling that BMW is going all out in creating a bewildering arrays of models variants nobody was asking.In this case, X4 is the more sporty looking version of X3.

        Loser mentality is always think they win, when in reality they lose badly. That is why they are called loser.

    Hmm, i think the pricing will enter the 3-er GT’s range. I’d say the X4 seems a better bet.

  • Parking next to existing X3 will accentuate how good looking the existing X3 is for the rear view. The fact that they stick to existing X3 fascia is not a clever move. just show how lazy they are. if you want to create a new segment then do it thoroughly, not half cook!

    BMW is the new Audi, every series look so highly identical to one another, really dilutes the feeling of being unique.

    BMW = banyak masuk worksyop

    What the hell with the similar design? They should sack the designer, so lazy to think new design. Even school children can think many many designs.
