2015 Cadillac Escalade SUV teaser shows new interior

2015 Cadillac Escalade

This is the dashboard of the 2015 Cadillac Escalade, which will be unveiled in full on October 7. Quite a fancy view, isn’t it? It’s a big departure from the current Escalade’s interior which is no more than a tarted up, leather-covered version of the dash used in the last-gen Chevrolet Tahoe/Suburban GMC Yukon it was based on.

There’s a new waterfall-design centre console like that of the new Cadillac CTS sports sedan, cradling a large screen and sleek silver-on-black buttons. The plush wood veneers extend to the new-shape steering wheel too, while the instrument cluster looks to be an all-digital affair.

The new MY2015 model will be built on the latest Chevrolet and GMC full-size SUV pair’s new underpinnings. The semi-upmarket GMC already features advanced standard features such as noise-cancellation tech and magnetic ride control, so expect the upper-class Cadillac to have all that and more.

Later, most will feature a huge touch screen as the centrepiece control just like the wildly successful Model S from Tesla.
