The dust has just settled in Zandvoort, Holland where Audi Sport Team Phoenix driver Mike Rockenfeller clinched the 2013 DTM Drivers’ championship title in his RS 5 DTM just over two weeks ago, and already we have the limited edition Audi A5 DTM Champion to mark the success. The season hasn’t even ended yet, with one more round to go this weekend.
New champion Rocky’s celebratory special edition A5 will be limited to just 300 units, each commanding a 1,900 euro pricetag over the standard coupe’s retail price. For that you get exclusive DTM badges on the outside, a fixed rear wing, aluminium-look wing mirrors and 20-inch cast aluminium wheels from the RS 5.
The special edition A5 DTM Champion is available in just three colours – Misano Red, Daytona Grey and Glacier White – and there’s a choice of four engines: 2.0 TDI quattro with 177 hp, 3.0 TDI quattro with 245 hp, 2.0 TFSI quattro with 225 hp and 3.0 TFSI quattro with 272 hp.
BMW did the very same when it won the title last year, making 54 units of the M3 DTM Champion Edition. Will this be an annual thing, then, boys?

3.0 but only capable 272hp? Doesn’t really suits the DTM badge. Only the rear wing can be appreciated.
I feel it a bit soft for a champion edition…

as sexy as the new 4 series, but will be easily tapau by the 435i
Street Fighter Champion edition? :D LOL
