We’re just a few days away from the official reveal of the next generation MINI hatchback, and MINI has released a teaser video showing bits and pieces of the car. Of course, we’ve already seen the car fully undisguised a couple of times before, and MINI has also previewed it in concept car form.
Codenamed the F56, the car will debut on November 18, the birthday of Sir Alec Issigonis, the man behind the original Mini of 1959. The world premiere will be held at MINI Plant Oxford in the UK, and its motorshow debuts will be simultaneously at Tokyo 2013 and LA 2013, all within the same day.
The new MINI will get a revamped engine range. Sample motors include a 136hp 220Nm 1.5 litre 3-cylinder engine for the Cooper and a 192hp 280Nm 2.0 litre 4-cylinder engine for the Cooper S, both from BMW’s new modular engine family.

I have a very strong feeling it will be as per the yellow one in the pictures. The back looks OK. But the front might need some time to get used to.
192hp 2.0? not bad ! The previous gen MINI looks sleeker thou
wow, the engine is nice. imagine having 328-like performance in the jcw cooper-s unit!
