Citroen DS 5LS sedan teased, December 19 reveal

citroen-ds-5ls-teaser-3

Citroen has teased a new DS 5LS sedan that will be revealed on December 19. The model is reportedly meant for China only – or at least for now. It could go on sale in the Middle Kingdom sometime next year.

Apart from these teaser photos, which show a striking alloy wheel design as well as angular headlamps with intruding grille bars and tail lamps inspired by the DS Wild Rubis Concept, we have little to go by.

For a start, we don’t know for sure if the Citroen DS 5LS sedan takes the DS4 or DS5 as its base (2,612 and 2,727 mm wheelbases respectively), but having a sedan boot should yield more luggage space either way.

Another DS model destined for China, also next year, is the DS X7 – the road-going version of the DS Wild Rubis Concept. As Changan-PSA already builds the DS5 (which was recently declared the first-ever China Design Car of the Year), it’s reasonable to assume it’ll build the DS X7 and DS 5LS too.

        Dear all readers,
What it means is this… DON’T BUY AND SELL YOUR CARS TO SAM LOO & RELATIVES and get CONNED! Sam Loo has forgotten that once upon a time all Malaysians were laughing at Japanese “Milo tin cans”. RV of cars are dictated by supply/demand and the public, NOT USED CAR dealers like SAM LOO & company! Kimchis will be more popular than Sushi in time. Mark my words! You don’t need to look far… just next door in Singapore! With Toyota (once a reliable manufacturer) keep having safety/reliability recalls, trust of consumers have been violated, only fools will buy UMW Toyota cars again! LOL, even Lexus gets recalls! Why only Korean car manufacturers offering 5 years warranty with no mileage limits in USA markets and the rest of the world tells you? You see all Japanese car manufacturers leading or following this trend? Kimchi made cellphones like Samsung are already market leader in the world, you see Sony/Japanese brand anywhere in sight? Go figure!

Why? They are selling the DS4 and DS5 here, have sold out the C5, and will sell the DS3 and C4 Picasso/Grand Picasso. That’s already plenty of French flair if you ask me. Feel free to buy one, if sales improves who knows, maybe this will also make its way.

They should base it on the C5… Give it the proper Citroen ride quality.

    The teasers look nice though…
