2015 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe – first official pic

Here we have the first picture of the production-bound 2015 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe, ahead of its official reveal in the coming weeks. The two-door S-Class, codenamed C217, is expected to make its public debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show in March.

From the picture above, Mercedes-Benz wasn’t kidding when it said that the car they’d put on sale would look very similar to the spectacular S-Class Concept they showed in Frankfurt months ago. The sharp front end, heavily sculpted side panels and shallow window line are all present.

This model, set to replace the CL-Class coupe when it goes on sale, has had its fair share of test sightings, with the first of which dating as far back as May 2013. Much of its interior has been revealed too – look at the W222 S-Class-based dashboard here.

It’s likely to get the top end of the S-Class sedan’s engine range – namely the S 500, S 600, S 63 AMG and S 65 AMG – to go against the equally turbocharged eight– and 12-cylinder-powered Bentley Continental GT luxury coupe. Between the two, which would you choose?

      • It’s designed by Korean national Hubert Lee:

While Korean cars are designed by German national Peter Schreyer, German cars are designed by Korean national Hubert Lee. That’s globalisation… ;)

Let me first declare that im mostly a conti fan when it comes to car design, except for Mercedes which I generally hate for its old, blocky and fat look that contributes to the current c class and former e class.

4 years ago I looked at Mercedes’ s design the same way I looked at honda’s current civic and city…but recently since the mid of 2013 to now, the upcoming cars look so unbelievably sexy!

Im happy to see that this particular 2 door S class have officially made me burn with passion about Mercedes. Elegant yet doesnt scream ” LOOK AT ME IM 20 YEARS OLD” like how the italian exotics do yet packs the performance to rival those.

Definately looking forward to seeing these in Malaysia!

They better get it into production as soon as possible before Hyundai take it and put it into their production. And all korean fans will say see even Merc copied the Koreans.
