This rather stumpy two-door, two-seater coupé is the Halo, the latest concept car from Mahindra’s EV arm, REVA. Introduced at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo, it showcases what a sporty REVA EV could look like, in contrast to the urban micro cars they currently produce.
The Mahindra REVA Halo’s short overhangs and large wheels give it a rather aggressive stance, although the tall, upright greenhouse means it still looks more like a micro EV than a full-on sports car. It features the usual concept car detailing, such as LED head and taillights, air vents in the fenders and hidden door handles. REVA says that it has consulted both Pininfarina and Bertone for the car’s design.
The black-and-white interior is dominated by dual touchscreens, including one, weirdly, used as the instrument binnacle. Ventilation is provided by distinctive dual round air vents located on either side of the dashboard, with the space in the middle taken up by a speaker. Sporty bucket seats trimmed in black leather with orange accents and orange ambient lighting complete the interior.
Power comes from a 104 kW (140 hp) electric motor propelling the car from 0-100 km/h in around nine seconds and the top speed is quoted at 160 km/h. A boost function cuts the acceleration time down to under eight seconds. Two models are planned – the top-of-the-range model has a range of 200 km, while the base model has a range of 100-150 km.
While the car is still a concept at the moment, the company states that development of the powertrain and the final design is already underway.

Lol. Yet another young manufacturer outbeat pohtong in design…. sigh…. sudah lah….
but then all proton cars are drivable and selling like hot cakes…pity issit…sigh…(sarcasm intended)
Haa haa Copy Porsche 911 Design Trademark (window). Pity to Proton, has been more than 20 yrs still dont have Design Trademark till today.. look at Audi, Merc, BMW they all has one. They keep this trademark since 1st car they make.. Now Kia follow with K5 & come up with K3 & ditch Forte design. Mazda also have since 1st Gen Mazda 3 & 6.. Toyota & Honda also have…
Proton Designer Engineer so blind coz they didn’t realize it till today.. How important was “Window Trademark” in car design.
Mahindra . young manufacturer?
am not trying to belittle my own country car maker.. but mahindra’s concept car is way much better than our local car concept car.
our own country car make still under breast feeding so don’t compare

shame on you all bashing own country car,at least potong is kia wannabe.this hindu product looks like Porsche wannabe with a good looking hindu style…..OMG it looks wicked but good…potong is wat say?erm…..still under “parent’s” guardian, trust me,we can build a 2014 advance car in 2020….I think ╯﹏╰
somehow it looks scary to me.. in an awesome way!
At last, a car that can be compared apple to apple with Hyundai Scoupe
Forget the car industry,India is way ahead of us in terms of education and technology…only thing they are behind is cleanliness….
Yes, 100% correct.. In term of tech, we are behind 10 yrs than them but sadly implementation they are very slow & even poor than us example mobile & wireless services .. They also has Nuke…
Whaaaat….an ugly looking car back looks like Porsche and front looks like Toyota …
at first glance i thought the front looks like acura nsx especially headlights ^^
Looks good, but should strecth it abit and flatten the roof. Would look like a cayman then
This looks like a mini Agera in 1st glance!!! The size is too small though like a Mazda MX-5 or the Lotuses.. stretch it abit more it will look nice, fierce and tidy.. Mahindra and Tata is designing some really nice car indeed..
Looks cool. Maybe it could compete with other small sports cars like honda beat, daihatsu copen, etc.
