The five-door version of the MINI hatchback has again been spotted testing in Europe, three months after the third-generation F56 MINI three-door hatch made its debut. It offers the classic MINI hatchback look with practicality and space closer to the supermini par.
It’s not difficult to imagine how the five-door MINI hatch will look like without the swirl camo – overall length and wheelbase have been extended with those rear doors and the roof line is a touch more sloped. Previous spyshots showed another version of this five-door with extra ‘barn doors’ at the back, likely to be the new Clubman without the odd single-sided rear door.
Reports indicate that the five-door MINI hatch will debut late this year, before the new Clubman appears in 2015. The maxi Countryman and coupe sister Paceman are expected to emerge in 2016.
