Spied testing in the US of A in June last year, revealed for its domestic market a month later and then spotted at JPJ Putrajaya this January, it’s just a matter of time till the Kia Sportage facelift arrives in Malaysia. The time is upon us, as the new SUV is now open for booking, according to local distributor Naza Kia’s website.
Kia’s entry to the mid-size SUV market will be displayed in its latest form at Naza Kia’s World Cup Bonanza Customer Days on March 13 to 16. The sole picture provided shows the new Sportage’s subtly refreshed looks, including its re-designed grille, front bumper and fog lamps. The wheels are also different.
More significant changes are to be found inside. The grey JPJ unit (below) sports a new touch-sensitive head-unit and a twin-binnacle meter cluster with a 4.2-inch colour screen – both replacing the monochrome displays in the outgoing model (shown further down). Kia’s FlexSteer system will make an appearance too.
The recently-launched Kia Optima K5 facelift introduced a longer equipment list than before, at the cost of a higher price tag (RM149,888 over the previous model’s RM143,888). The Sportage looks to be following the same route, so expect the current RM138,888 price to be adjusted to match its enhanced kit count.

Looking to sell your car? Sell it with Carro.
Very good RV. Please buy this car if you want high quality car with excellent RV.
Yes, you are correct. But Hyundai Tuckson has better interior space. So I will buy Tuckson over this.
Give you a like even you are not the joker, shame loo.
As usual, the shame loo may said the car drop >60% within a year and his yard is full of korean car.
So Shame loo, please do let us know where is your yard ya.. we are willing to buy one year old Sportage at RM56k.
Come to Sam yard and you will feel how stpid u are

No Avatar = Imposted
What a joke uncle RV. Tell us where is your yard since you said you are rich and sucessful.
Wait, the old one was 139k. Only? Seriously?
Wow, that is insane value, compared to the CRV and even the Kuga. not to mention it looks really good.
If only they promoted it more.
please dont compare sportage with crv..crv and masza cx5 is comparable, but not to kia sportage..sportage is to compare with mitsubishi asx.
thus different pricing strategy. Based on size and price subaru xv, mitsubishi asx and kia sportage are same level and comparable, so price a bot lower than crv and cx5. No one will buy kia sportage if it priced at crv and cx5 level, simply because crv and cx5 are superior quality (and brand) than the good looking kia sportage
Why not, the sportage/tucson are the rival counterparts to japs CRV/RAV4 and in most review in rest of the world, they are comparable…btw ASX and Sportage are same breed only different parents.
The current 2013 unit can’t even be traded in for RM30k
Sam, get me one Kia Sportage 2013. I will pay u RM40k.
Dont believe pakcik, dia masih sakit. Tak ada ubat.
Sucks !!! No resale value.
Somehow this sportage looks much nicer and modern looking than the renault kolos where paul posted earler. And the pricing is cheaper than french. Somehow the renault look like previous kimchi gen model.
cx5 is alot better…
The new facelift kia sportage comes with same kia cerato meter panel, cooler box, aircond for rear passenger and the nice one air-ventilated seat
Can’t really see the rear aircond vent from the picture coz it too dark..I really hope Naza include it
Looks like the prices for Korean cars are ok the rise which means they are confident about their sales strategy. Anyhow if this is comparable with the ASX then how to respond to Mitsu when they just CKD’ed their model and made it cheaper?
Nice … If the price reasonable (below RM130K) – surely can see more of such car on our road :)
Toyota still the best , for those posing as me , go ahead!
Come on, your comment not promote, but spoil the name of Toyota!!!
The real Sam Loo is here.
Can’t comment on Sportage bcos Toyota Rav 4 is way higher level than this low RV Kimchi.
i have driven the current gen Sportage. its pretty good, quiet and engine is quite ok.
I only thing i didnt like was the streering feel and fuel consumption. one full tank only goes 300+km
Many folks forgotten 4wd vehicle sucks in fuel economy as compared to 2wd.
Unless those 4wd are diesel driven, economy can never compare to those 2wd or sedan vehicle. It’s almost comparing apple and orange.
The interior is very small if u wanna compare with any of the price range
Till now, I still cannot accept KIA for trade in, coz there is absolutely no demand at all
You are only a junior uncle sales man after 30 years in the showroom. Aa long as u dont cakap bohong, you will not feel so shame and look down on your own self. Dont lie at the blog because in reality, you are a person that has no confidence and being neglected. Kasihan
Hmmn… can this car has enough space fit in my tongkat ?
is there a clock function in the new 2014 facelift. there seems to be a display slot on top of the audio unit, i cant seem to find a clock unit anywhere on teh dashboard.
