Last week, our Euro spies spotted the upcoming W205 Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG sedan testing in Europe; now we have been supplied pics of the wagon version doing the same. This taped-up black super wagon was spotted refuelling at a Q8 station in Sweden.
The fast estate will share a powertrain with the hot sedan, which means that it will no longer have a monster 6.3 litre V8 engine. Even this sort of car isn’t spared from the downsizing wave, so the W205 AMG will be moved by a new twin-turbo 4.0 litre V8.
The new V8 shares a modular architecture with the 2.0 litre four-cylinder engine found in the A 45 AMG, CLA 45 AMG, and GLA 45 AMG cars, so it could well be two of those blocks installed in a V-bank. The M177 is expected to churn out about 480 hp. If the A 45 AMG’s verve is multiplied by two as well, this will be one hell of a super wagon. Audi RS4 Avant, watch out!

Dafuq 4.0? I missed the 6.2 grunt sound. But to be honest, BMW N63B44 engine is the best. Produced the best sound as my friend has one X6 50i. Awesome sound.
