Bell & Ross BR 03-94 Carbon Orange – 500 pieces only

BR03-94-Carbon-Orange-Orange-face

Those who are into watches would probably be familiar with the Bell & Ross style. The brand has always been fascinated by aeronautical instrumentation and the plane as an object. From the first timepieces, this inspiration has nurtured the development of collections based on two areas.

Firstly, aeronautical instrumentation, specifically that of the instrumentation panel, with the signature Aviation collection. Secondly, the evocation of key eras in the history of aviation, through the development of pilots’ watches in the lesser-known, elegant Vintage collection.

Since legibility of onboard instruments is vital in aeronautics, two colours are prevalent in cockpits: matte black for its anti-reflective properties and white for its extreme legibility. Orange – reserved for essential information – also has an important presence and, having always featured on the Bell & Ross models, has become emblematic of the brand.

br-specs

This year, Bell & Ross presents the BR 03-94 Carbon Orange, designed especially for professionals working under extreme conditions who require optimum legibility in all circumstances. As in aircraft’s cockpit instruments, and to facilitate the reading of short periods of time, a touch of orange contrasts with the matte black to highlight all the indications relating to the chronograph function.

The BR 03-94 Carbon Orange, moved by an ETA 2894 mechanical automatic heart, comes with a black rubber strap and an orange canvas strap. Orange accents can be found on the hands, the “Ltd” emblem on the face and a side tappet. Only 500 pieces of this limited edition watch will be made.

ETA movement? For that price, B&S should be making their own movement.

Bell & Ross…hahahaha waste time lar.

No resale value. Better buy rolex.

more resale value. The moment you walk out from shop for B&R, your value drop 90%. At least with rolex, value will appreciate.

Rolex might be an expensive watch but it is so unfashionable.

    A typical uncle’s watch!

How many buyers would actually sell their watch?

Buy a watch that u like, no point buying a watch that u don’t like just because of resale value, unless u open a second hand watch shop.

BR definitely looks more modern compared to Rolex.

TBH, certain watch collector will do away with the entire line of BnR. For some reason, they prefer more to Sinn – an actual tool watch which made for and originally for Flight/Pilot/Cargo. Also, real collector will root to IWC Big Gun/Miramar.

As a collector myself, i have once develop some interest in BnR, not until the ETA comes in the movement – that alone fail to justify the price of this watch. N u know what other brand that fell in the same category such as this BnR ? Panerai.

Buy a watch according to where your heart leads you. Others may criticize your watch till the moon comes down, but as long as you’re happy wearing it, why should you give a damn.

Just like choosing a girl, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and different ppl have different taste. No right or wrong, as long as you’re happy.

I also own a br03-92, but weight has never been an issue to me.

In most high quality watches are weighty.

If it’s too heavy, perhaps u should wear a Swatch.

    So sorry.

The watch is very good and reliable as the brand is powerful.
The only bad point about tis watch is the canvas STRAP.
You know, when you sweat, canvas straps absorps the sweat. A very obnoxious smell will develop.
When a father carries his child, the child can smell the nasty smell and they will run away. You won’t even know why your girlfriend thinks you are such a dirty fellow. CHANGE THE STRAP>

Canvas is tough but the sweat problem is why I never buy a watch with Canvas strap.

Bell & Ross is relatively new “watch maker” just google their history, nothing but a marketing company which tries to associate with aviation … overprice for stock ETA movements. Of course there are a lot ETA movements who is selling at premium pricing but then they are more established brands and rich in history. Bell & Ross is also rich in “his story” … lol
