Petronas to excite F1 fans ahead of Malaysian GP

Fans of Formula 1 and the Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 team can join in Petronas’ festivities in and around KLCC over the next few days, as the company gears up for the 2014 Malaysian Grand Prix next weekend.

Among the activities planned out for the coming week include the Petronas Motorsports Demo Run, happening tomorrow from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm, which will feature Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg zooming up and down Jalan Ampang in the 2013 F1 W04 racer.

Apart from the Formula 1 drivers, attendees can also expect performances from riders of the Petronas AAM Malaysian Cub Prix Championship and the Petronas Asia Road Racing Championship, as well as drivers of the Mercedes-Benz DTM team. American stunt riders Aaron Twite and Nick Broha will also be there to wow the crowds.

Fans will get another chance to catch Hamilton and Rosberg on March 26, as the two of them will be taking part in Cage Rage at 12:00 pm which will see them getting acquainted with the sharks and fishes at Aquaria KLCC. The traditional meet-and-greet session will take place at the Petronas Malaysian Grand Prix Showcase at the Concourse of Suria KLCC at 5:30 pm later that day.

Capping off the week will be the Twin Towers @ Live concert at Plaza Petronas KLCC on March 28, which will feature performances from international artistes such as Christina Aguilera, Rick Astley, Sam Dowden and Craig David. Performing alongside them are local acts including Joe Flizzow, Altimet, SonaOne, Ila Damiaa, Oh Chentaku, Irama and DJ Biggie. Entrance is free.
