Here’s an interesting one from BMW New Zealand – the BMW ZZZ Series Cot. It’s being touted as The Ultimate Sleeping Machine, fusing advanced technology and German engineering so that your baby will sleep better and longer, while in full safety and comfort.
The premium cot – complete with the brand’s trademark kidney grille – features authentic BMW leather and an illuminated BMW badge to serves as a night light. There’s a smartphone app to work the moisture detection sensor, remote Cot-Cam and integrated climate control.
BMW even quotes “multi-phase high-tensile steel in a single-joint spring strut axle concealed in the base for agile suspension and directional precision, for superior handling and stability” for this cot, which is also said to be made out of lightweight carbon-fibre moulding.
More interestingly, BMW New Zealand also offers an M Sport upgrade along with a Customised Colour Match System, so you can have it in the same shade as the BMW vehicle in your garage. Announced today, April 1, the BMW ZZZ Series Cot is currently not available for purchase just yet, but you can take a look at the dedicated microsite for more details.

Ultimate sleeping machine?
Fair enough BMW, but once Toyota comes out with their own cot, you will loose. Now does it come in an M model?
who say BMW can be affordable?
The only ZZZ here is BMW Malaysia and its mere 2 years warranty. BMW Malaysia is the only car company in the world (not just Malaysia) to offer a mere 2 years warranty.
All other car companies have increased to 5 years. Even Proton and Perodua themselves have done so. BMW’s arch rival Mercedes has even upped it to 4 years.
This clearly shows that BMW has no confidence in their own products. So many customers have their gearbox failing just right after the 2nd year warranty finishes. They have to cough out RM80,000 from their own pocket just to replace the gearbox. Besides gearbox, every BMW customer has to pay through their nose for warranty claim parts after the 2nd year.
Cheer up, ol’ chap. It’s the 1st of April! Leave the serious business for tomorrow.
BMW standard global warranty is 2 years… Are you sure that others car company offering 5 years warranty…? Please read the term and conditions… most of the warranty offered are 2 + 3 years which is 2 years manufacturer warranty + 3 years extended warranty.
i have used e90 lci for 6 years now,not a single problem just normal wear and tear.go for the extended warranty and do a major check on ur car right before the warranty exp. just my 2 cent.
I don’t mean to be a kill joy… but this is what BMW does every year on April Fools Day. They make ads like this as if it’s true, but it’s not.
Nice prank
april fools indeed.
Does it have Merino Individual leather?
And where’s the M edition? LOL.
Sorry, no proper M version so far. But there’s the M Sport pack ;)
M Sport with a Power Kit (read USB charge ports) will do the trick!
Estoril blue please!
April fool. Hope no one make a fool of themselves around MH370 today.
aww come on PT, how many AFJs (april fools jokes) will we get….every year happens without fail…LOL
the website link URL is an obvious giveaway…”/UTM_campaign”…..means Ultimate Teaser Machine campaign….
April Fool’s joke by BMW and PaulTan.org
bmw malaysia have been beta testing this for quite a while already thats why their warranty package is lagging behind all their competitors.
Can we spec it with sporty body kits and Magic Body Control? What sort of sound system does it use?
