LR Discovery Vision Concept to debut at NYIAS 2014

The next generation Land Rover Discovery will be previewed in the form of a concept car called the Discovery Vision Concept at this year’s New York International Auto Show in the middle of this month. Land Rover says the new concept previews a new ‘family’ of Discovery vehicles. Yes, family, because it seems the Freelander will be renamed to be part of the Discovery family.

Other than the teaser video above, another image teaser has been released of the interior, showing us the centre dashboard area, viewed through the space between the two front seats.

“Discovery has been pivotal in helping to build the foundations of the Land Rover brand.  It is admired all over the world and loved by its strong customer base. We have created the Vision Concept to share the essence of Land Rover’s new age of Discovery and to debut a new, compelling, relevant design direction that connects on an emotional level with customers of today and tomorrow,” said Gerry McGovern, Design Director and Chief Creative Officer for Land Rover.

Very streamline & space age looking indeed, hope it doesn’t becomes another urban vehicle & loss it’s all terrain abilities.
