SPYSHOTS: Mercedes-Benz ML gets revised interior

Mercedes-Benz-ML-Class-Facelift-0009

Mercedes-Benz’s M-Class SUV will be getting its mid-life facelift soon. The facelited ML will receive Stuttgart’s new ‘floating tablet’ COMAND display that it has been putting in all of its recent cars.

We already knew this when we last saw the facelifted ML’s interior, but back then the new COMAND display was covered by a cloth to hide it from spy photographers.

Today our spy photographers have managed to get a shot of the interior undisguised. It reveals the new large floating tablet style COMAND display flanked by redesigned air cond vents which are now taller. The centre top of the dashboard has also been redesigned appropriately to fit the new items. It’s a cleaner-looking implementation of the floating display than the one that we saw on the upcoming CLS-Class facelift.

On the exterior, expect some revisions to the front grille (switched to a single bar design as can be seen through the camo), bumpers as well as daytime running lights, which will probably be moved from the current position on the front bumper to be integrated in the headlamps.

Proton adalah lagi advanced daripada Mercedes Benz. Jurutera Proton setanding dengan jurutera Jerman. Majulah Proton dan majulah Malaysia.

I’ll take that either as trolling or sarcasm.

Regardless, not feeding the troll… It does seem that MB (Mercedes Benz, not Menteri Besar) do rather good work on their face lifts as compared to the other Germans. Examples being the E class, the soon to be old C class interior and now this.

Mercedes and BMW have clouded people with too many models. Become like Samsung handphone. Too many models.

Mercedes used to be C, E and S and ML. Now got so many, they become like Ford, hundred different models and variants. BMW also, got 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, series, people also headache.

Idiots running the company. Keep a few models and improve on price!

The center air vents now looks very cayenne-ish. use to be similar with 508.

Nice car, the ML. Only the air con vents look like they were lifted out of the Cayenne. Big chunky steering wheel too!
The floating display looks nice in the pictures, not sure how it will look in the metal.
A few floating consoles I’ve seen recently look unnatural and the touch screen tablets look stuck-on.
Still, an imposing car on the road.
