Perodua Myvi XT – new variant sighted, ad pops up

myvi xt 2

The upcoming Perodua Myvi variant called the Myvi XT, which was first teased through the company’s website, has broken cover – aside from an ad on oto.my, reader Faiz Fadil spotted a transporter load of XTs near Klang, easily identifiable through their Lime Green and Dazzling Red exterior shades. Not long to go before it’s launched then.

An earlier ad listed changes to the alloys (the spied vehicles wear a five-spoke design wheel) , front grille and seat fabric design for the XT, and the instrument dial rings and centre cluster are now apparently silver-painted. The previous ad speculatively listed the price at RM42,500, but the latest oto.my one has it at RM44,000.

Word is that Perodua is also set to introduce an improved version of the Perodua Myvi Extreme at the same time the Myvi XT makes its debut, and the new Extreme will be getting coil mats, security film, a new leather seat cover and red multimedia illumination for new bits.

Like all Perodua models, the new Myvi variants should come with a three-year/100,000 km manufacturer’s warranty and optional two-year/50,000 km extended warranty, plus three years’ free service.

No matter what no matter how…it will continue to be a best seller…no matter how much you people hate it the sales will skyrocket…thats the beauty of perodua cars…even though it doesnt necessarily has to be beautiful…in the meantime continue to bash perodua like what RBA is doing bashing the country non-stop despite living here…manyak kesian these people…their lives are full of hatred…when will they realise what they r doing is wrong unless n until they lose their citizenship like all those reject people in the UK…until dap has to sembah the govt to take them back…

It is no longer the best seller fyi.. With more and more choices in the market, the sales of perodua has dropped tremendously for the past few months.. Especially after the introduction of Saga and Persona SV, no people go around and look for a perodua anymore.. The only model left that they are still holding on to some sales is only the Alza.. And after the introduction of Exora SV in few months time, perodua can go and pack their bags and balik kampung with toyota already.. Not saying that proton is doing a great job, but at least they are giving a more reasonable spec car compared to perodua.. But at the end of the day, where is Najib’s promise on car price reduction? We could have easily owned a brand new City with the price of this green frog!

          • I personally dont hate proton and perodua. I understand that myvi is a very good city car. under 80km/h, it goes very well, quite comfortable too. Above 80km/h. quite noisy, and bumpy. So i prefer driving saga.

Yes, it is sad but true.

Perodua is competing with Proton, and no one else. (Other cars are not in same price range)

Proton is progressing slow on its model and spec (with issue on build quality etc), and Perodua’s sale has been beating it for long time. So it really no point for Perodua to spend so much money on R&D, facelift, spec improvement.

        PERODUA ALREADY CONQUER THE MARKET!!

And this is the result of limited competition environment.

So push Perodua to improve significantly, we have to:
        1. Push Proton to work harder to make their models competitive enough.
        2. Open the market of that price range to other automakers to join competition.

Else, till 2024 we shall expect Perodua to do little improvement on their already-conquer-the-market models.

Perodua should come out with the concept of ‘Plug and Play’ Bumpers and Grills. What I mean is the car owner can change the bumper and grills by themselves, Perodua then design new bumper and grill every other year, in this way if an owner keep changing their back and front cover every other year it means they get a new variant every two years.

They can still get some decent sales volume cos their cars are fuel efficient, unlike Protong cars that are heavy fuel drinkers inspite of the many carnivals and facelifts.

Bradder, its” fun” working at perodua cos of Japanese management influence on Quality Control, but I must salute those guys cos in 2014 they have set a lofty sales target of 197000 units.
So each month they have to sell 16416 cars and that translates to 547 cars daily thro their extensive dealer network.
However, can this be achieved by recently bailed out Protong? Now is already 1/3 of a year almost gone by month end,you Protong diehards,do you know how much sales Protong has garnered?Call Datuk Aishah for the figures. It is hot and fresh from her oven.

Level of service (LOS) should always improve.. Example: LOS E to LOS C, LOS D to LOS B, LOS C to LOS A etc. Still a lot to improve in our country.
