Naza Premira, the sole importer and distributor of Vespa bikes in Malaysia, officially launched the Vespa LXV 150 3V today. CBU imported from Hanoi, Vietnam, the LXV 150 3V combines retro looks (more so than the LX 150) and a new fuel injection engine.
The 114 kg LXV 150 is powered by a 150cc four-stroke 3V engine, which comes with fuel injection. Naza says that the single-cylinder 11.7 hp (8.7 kW) and 12 Nm engine is 30% more fuel efficient than the previous carburetor engine, and cleaner as well. The engine is hooked up to a CVT automatic transmission.
The scooter is suspended by a front single arm with helical spring and single double-acting hydraulic shock absorber. The rear shock absorber has adjustable preload with four settings. To stop, a front 200 mm disc brake complements rear drums.
If you like Vespas, it’s most probably for the retro looks, and the LXV 150 has that charm. Contributing parts include the chromium finish on the tubular handlebar, fly screen, round headlamp and the double-module two-seat saddle. The latter is covered in genuine leather.
“Innovation coupled with Vespa’s signature retro flair provides customers with simplicity, style, practicality and efficiency in one very handsome package. This model is for Vespa enthusiasts who love a more classic looking Vespa with advanced technology packed into the bike,” said Nik Danial Nik Mahmood, VP of Naza Two Wheels Division.
Available in three colours – Midnight Blue, Rossa Chianti (maroon) and Beige (shown here) – the Vespa LXV 150 3V has a basic selling price of RM11,658. The OTR price is RM12,400, a small price to pay for hipsters.

Loving the Vespa. I like the idea of retro looks with modern powertrain just like modern muscle cars.
wonder when the vespa 746 coming to malaysia…?
You mean 946?
New but classic. Just the price. It’s a little bit expensive here in Malaysia.
finally naza.. after the Vietnamese carb version sold out..
Guys,
Do you guys realize the ‘Najib where is the 30% reduction you promised!?’ guy just disappeared? O.o
I think he’s been away for well over a week now, hmm….
made in vietnam…ripoff much
At least their Honda Wave Dash 110 and Honda Future 125 are already fuel-injected, unlike ours with ancient carburetors. Even Vietnam is way ahead from us in terms of motorcycle technology.
where is the spare tyre for vespa?
Nope. It’s not made in Vietnam. It’s made in Italy but assembled in Vietnam to benefit from cheaper labor cost. The same way, the ducati 795 & diavel was assembled in Thailand. A very solid & quality scoot, which you could actual feel right from the first time sitting on it, very similar to the feeling of the original classic vespas. I happen to still ride my 1972 vespa super 150 frequently
In other words, CKD in Vietnam.
please define the term “with advance technology”…
Not many comments here. But I really like this piece, reminding me of the days I was riding my Honda C70
I still love the classic vespa compared with current one. Recently just refurnished a 150 super with seperated seats and hanging rear tyre. Looks very nice and classic
Nice!!
“a small price to pay for hipsters”
Since when riding a vespa is for hipsters?
such a beauty. the front wheel looks like a car wheel, with 5 lug nuts!
too bad it doesn’t have rear brake disc.
Just loved it! Retro looks with modern tech.My last ride was a 535 Virago…now itching to get this beauty.Any dealer in Johore?
RM12K++ for a 150cc vespa(scooter? prefer the old one..with the manual gear+clutch at the handlebar..the sound it makes when you changed gear..totally awesome haha
Look loke vespa but the price is so steep compare to japanese scotter…eventhough assemble in vietnam but the price still not cheap
The LX150 from Italy cost around 17k in Malaysia before the bike was assembled in Vietnam. From Vietnam RM10k. The body is still made of steel, similar to the first one produced in 1946.
