Since the W205 Mercedes-Benz C-Class has already been globally unveiled and launched in certain markets, what’s this W205 doing still wearing its disguise? The flap below the right tail lamp on the rear bumper reveals the reason why – this is actually a plug-in hybrid version of the C-Class.
Like its big brother the W222 S-Class, the new C-Class will be available as both a regular hybrid as well as a plug-in hybrid. At launch time, a C300 BlueTec diesel-hybrid was announced without plug-in charging.
This plug-in hybrid W205 C-Class is said to be powered by a petrol engine instead of a diesel, and will be called the Mercedes-Benz C350 Hybrid.
