Mercedes-AMG GT – first interior pictures revealed

???????????????????????

The Mercedes-AMG GT name has been confirmed for Affalterbach’s upcoming rival to the Porsche 911, which will debut later in the year. No, we didn’t miss out the Benz there, it’s just called that, the Mercedes-AMG GT. To stress the point, Mercedes also claims that it will be an “authentic Mercedes-AMG sports car,” whatever that may be.

In recent Mercedes-Benz style, the car’s interior has been revealed first, just like with the S-Class, C-Class, and the V-Class. It’s a fantastic looking thing, taking cues from the company’s outgoing SLS AMG and the flagship S-Class Coupe. The dash places an emphasis on width, while the AMG Drive Unit controls are arranged like eight cylinders in a V layout to match the engine configuration.

Speaking of the engine, the GT is expected to utilise AMG’s new 4.0 litre twin-turbo V8 that will also see service in the forthcoming BMW M3-rivalling C 63 AMG super saloon. At least three output levels are set to be on offer – around 480 hp for the base model, rising up to over 600 hp for the inevitable Black Series.

Mercedes-AMG GmbH CEO, Tobias Moers says that, “the new Mercedes-AMG GT shows that we will be positioning AMG more vehemently and aggressively than to date as a dynamic sports car brand.” Developed fully independently by Mercedes-AMG (like the SLS AMG), it aims to score high on driving dynamics, agility and sportiness.

What a junk of a car. AMG make rubbish cars. Just increase bhp a bit then charge double the price. Stupid company. Better to buy stock Mercedes.

Looks perfectly beautiful and luxury, but the centre console reminds me of the LFA.

    Anyway, it’s a masterpiece.

The aircon vents at the center console are simply too many! It would chill its drivers and passenger to death since it’s a 2 seater!

i don’t think so, as the engine capacity so huge therefore it would generate some heat into the cabin + climate control are electronic adjustable.
