Audi A8 L 3.0 TFSI facelift seen at JPJ – Matrix LEDs!

Our regular ‘JPJ correspondent’ Anol Alias has spotted the latest Audi A8 L facelift nestling in the JPJ car park – looks like our roads are going to be hit by Matrix LEDs and sequential indicators pretty soon.

It’s the long-wheelbase 3.0 TFSI quattro, as we previously deduced. The V6 should now produce 310 PS and 440 Nm of torque instead of the pre-facelift car‘s 290 PS and 420 Nm of torque.

There’ll be more kit, so expect to pay more than the RM659k asked for the pre-facelift car. The refreshed Audi A8 L 3.0 TFSI quattro could launch before the end of May, before the Audi A3 Sedan follows in June.

definitely the best looking luxury sedan after S-class and XJ. way better than the visually-horrible F10 5-series.

The 5 Series is not in the same class as the A8. The 7 Series is. Honestly, I prefer the design of the previous generation A8. That one is more sportier. Current gen is too mature looking. But in the end, design is subjective matter.

      • well, previous E60 is sporty but current F10 is matured. I think the German has some intention by making one generation sporty, another matured followed by sporty again.

  • if priced below 700k, it is quite attractive compared to new S class. Or else, take S class as it is currently the king of this segment

    • Dont forget S-class has another weapon called S 400 is on the way, Pricing will be around RM680k~. So both will be neck to neck. But design wise, Merc wins hands down. Saw one S400 Hybrid at Banting the other day. Freakingg sexy.

Their pricing strategy cannot fight with Merc or BMW. Expect them to pre-register the car and then offer a huge discount for it , like the current A8 model. The sales person told me that they gave RNM100k away for pre-registered A8 previously after realising that they won’t be able to sell the car at that price level.
