Nissan opens second assembly plant in Indonesia

Datsun_Go+_-003

Nissan has inaugurated its second assembly plant in Indonesia. The opening of the 60,000 sq metre facility – which is located in Purwakarta, 80 km from Jakarta – will expand the brand’s production capacity in the country from 100,000 units annually to 250,000.

Built at a cost of 33 billion yen (RM1.05 billion), the Purwakata plant features a body assembly line, paint and trim shops as well as chassis operations, and will generate up to an additional 3,000 jobs in the region.

Initial production will be dedicated to assembling Datsun vehicles for Indonesian buyers, in this case the Datsun GO hatchback and GO+ MPV. Last year, it was reported that both models would begin selling in Indonesia this year, with prices starting below 100 million Rupiah (below RM29,000).

Nissan also confirmed the approval of its Low Cost Green Car (LCGC) programme license, issued by the Indonesian government, allowing the brand to join the burgeoning LCGC segment. The automaker said it expects to sell more than 90,000 units in the country in 2014, and added that it is planning to increase the number of sales outlets from 100 to 130 during the year.

Everything is now going to Indonesia and Thailand. Even the existing CKD in Malaysia will soon close shop and move to Indon. Japanese and Mat Salleh don’t like to give 30% of their company free and pay useless puppet directors money for not doing work.

      Wheelbase Comparison:

      5 Seater Perodua Alza: 2750mm.
      Nissan Grand Livina: 2600mm.
      Datsun Go+: 2450mm.

no wonder Datsu Go+ is so cheap at indonesia.

have we seen enough of because of cronism (Protong is meant for part suppliers to earn big money instead of selling Protong car over seas to earn money for the company/country), Malaysia lost big time in earning money through export. Yes, export counts towards Malaysia economy (that is how Intel in Penang make Malaysia biggest export is electronics!). Enough of all those stupid people says Protong helps Malaysia. Its killing the country economics by increasing household debt in the first place. And Dr knows mostly blind supporter will says buatan Malaysia is good and proud, its good and proud if they HELPS the country and rakyat in the first place. It helps cronis without a doubt.

BAGUS, tahniah to Dr M stupid, because of you and all the BN parties, we malaysian can’t buy cheap japanese cars. Indonesian government is good, their rakyat can buy japanese cars at cheap price. Datsun will not enter malaysia because it will be expensive(due to stupid tax)and their philosophy as a people’s car will be vanished. In malaysia, the cheapest new car money can buy is our very own perodua Viva or proton Saga SV- which is more than Rm30k. I will pick Datsun anytime if it is Rm29k here in malaysia.

If it is rm29k in Malaysia, most probably some of us can buy it cash, don’t have to loan until 9 years(high car price in malaysia is because of the stupid BN tax, introduced by the dying dr M since proton was born in 1989). Or worst still just loan half of the car price.

Indonesia will be ahead of Malaysia from now on.

Their salary scale in going up for local people. Their local senior Project Manager (building) can get RM 10K to 15K salary as compared to malaysia scale which is below RM 10K.
