SPYSHOTS: Hyundai Tucson – third-gen looks good

Spy-Shots of Cars

The current Hyundai Tucson (also known as the ix35 in Europe) is getting on a bit now, having been on sale since 2009, so it’s high time for a replacement. And these spyshots show that development of the next-generation model, spotted testing near the Nürburgring, is well underway ahead of its anticipated debut in the autumn of next year.

Despite wearing copious amounts of camouflage, this prototype still cuts a fine figure, trading the outgoing model’s swoops and curves for a more mature and sophisticated design language, with a trapezoidal front grille, swept-back LED headlights and a low roofline. The well-proportioned look is further helped along by a set of large, almost Golf GTI-esque wheels on this car.

Technical details remain unknown, but the Tucson/ix35 is expected to soldier on with the current range of 1.6 litre to 2.4 litre Gamma, Nu and Theta II petrol engines making between 138 hp and 176 hp, as well as 1.7 and 2.2 litre CRDi diesel engines producing 113 hp and 181 hp respectively. The same six-speed manual and automatic gearboxes should also be on offer.

He said look good, I think Jonathan suggest that how Hyundai should launch the car, come with camouflage canvas foc, to cover the “Good look” permanently.
