Sime Darby Auto Performance, the official importer and distributor of Porsche vehicles in Malaysia is introducing a brand new compact SUV model, the Porsche Macan. For those who have been keeping a close eye on the Porsche Macan would be happy to know that it will be on display at the Bangsar Shopping Centre from 21 till 25 May ahead of its official launch later this year.
There will be four variants of the Porsche Macan for the Malaysian market including the base 237 hp Porsche Macan, the 340 hp Porsche Macan S, the 258 hp Porsche Macan S Diesel for diesel lovers out there as well as the range-topping Porsche Macan Turbo.
The unit which will be on display is the 400 hp Porsche Macan Turbo which accelerates from naught to 100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds, up to 266 km/h. The Porsche Macan Turbo is equipped with Porsche’s active all-wheel drive system, the Porsche Traction Management as well as the Porsche Doppelkupplung transmission (PDK), among others. Power comes from a 3.6 litre V6 bi-turbo unit.
Estimate prices for the Porsche Macan range from RM450,000 for the Porsche Macan, RM550,000 for the Porsche Macan S Diesel to RM560,000 for the Porsche Macan S. The top-of-the-line Porsche Macan Turbo is expected to be priced at about RM780,000. The showcase will be held from 10.00am to 10.00pm daily.
