UMW Toyota is offering Raya deals across its range, and the headlining offer is for its luxury MPVs. Buyers of the CBU from Japan Alphard and Previa (Estima) get a year of free insurance and road tax, plus three years free service. The latter is worth RM2,000 for the 2.4 litre Alphard and Previa, and RM2,500 for the Alphard 3.5G. This promo is for the first 300 customers.

  • nothing can beat the parallel importers though, not limited to first 300 customers only. btw is it possible to bring an estima or jdm alphard to the umw workshop?

I think they have that package. Porsche has a package where you can bring your parallel import car to the service center and they will inspect the car first. Then they will give you warranty options to choose such as 1 year or 2 years but the premium is hefty considering its a Porsche (around 40k per year if not mistaken depending on model)

    • They are targetting to sell 300 units just to boost up the number!

      • If the sales of the Previa still flop despite all the promotions, perhaps UMW should bring in a better specced model or just quietly stop selling them, like they did with Wish(ZNE10) and RAV4(XA30) in the past.

Who cares about the promotions? Unless you’re giving a 50k discount, nobody is going to buy it..

I might make an exception for the Alphard considering the competition out there for a large luxury MPV is either this or the Elgrand, and spec to price there is not much diffrence.

But the Previa, yea, no one is going to buy it. considering the 1 month old, feature packed Odyssey sells for less. Saw a lorry load headed for Honda Selayang few days back so I’am guessing stock has arrived. Thou I do applaud UMW for choosing the Previa name instead of Estima, easier to spot the lesser-IQ that went for the UMW route instead of the fully spec recon ones.
