Range Rover Sport to add Stealth Pack option

RRS Stealth 1

Land Rover has announced the availability of a Stealth Pack for the second-generation Range Rover Sport, on HSE Dynamic and Autobiography Dynamic derivatives. The kit will make its debut at the upcoming Goodwood Festival in the UK at the end of the month, and first customer deliveries are expected towards the end of the year.

The Range Rover Sport Stealth Pack features a set of exterior design enhancements, including satin black front grille and grille surround, fog lamp bezels, bonnet and fender vents, upper mirror caps and tailgate finisher.

The Stealth bits also include non-reflective headlamp and tail lamp surfaces, along with a choice of 21-inch nine-spoke or 22-inch five-spoke wheels in a satin black finish, with wheel nuts done in gloss black. The latest kit adds on to the wide range of dress-up permutations for the SUV to make it bespoke.

The Range Rover Sport was recently launched in Malaysia in three variant forms (3.0 litre SDV6 diesel, 3.0 litre V6 Supercharged Dynamic and 5.0 litre V8 Supercharged Dynamic), all bearing HSE equipment level specification. Read our UK test drive review of the L494 Range Rover Sport.

What stealth? I can see/hear this from far away with those huge black 22 inch rims and the sound of the big V8.

As a person who takes stealth seriously, I disapprove of the name of this accessories pack. They didn’t even put effort to limit the paint to something more worthy of that term like matte black paint or even just black paint. Matte black would have been better, though. It won’t truly be a stealth car if it still has an internal combustion engine. Turn it into an EV or at least a hybrid that has an EV mode and then I’ll give it the thumbs up. Right now it just…gives stealth a bad name.
