Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) has opened its first 3S centre in the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia. The outlet is operated by YS Autoworld Sdn Bhd and is located in Kawasan Perindustrian Semambu, Kuantan.

The RM6 million 3S centre measures 43,560 sq ft and features a showroom, an eight-bay service area (including two Quick Service bays) and a spare parts centre. This facility is expected to cater to 1,000 Hyundai cars registered in Kuantan and surrounding areas.

“With the expansion to the East Coast, we are looking at increasing our market share there from 4% to 7% over the next three years. This new 3S centre in Kuantan will serve as a support hub for all Hyundai service centres in the East Coast, including Kelantan and Terengganu,” said Lau Yit Mun, MD of HSDM.

The Hyundai Veloster is now available in a single variant, with six airbags. Turbo still not here yet.

As part of its network expansion plan, HSDM is also looking at upgrading its dealerships in Kota Bahru to 3S centres while at the same time expanding its dealership network in Terengganu in the next two years.

At the opening ceremony, HSDM also announced the enhanced Hyundai Veloster, which now comes in a sole variant with six airbags. The coupe was launched here in November 2012 with three variants, all with two airbags.

    Good for hyundai and kelantan…
Too bad the current selling price is too expensive they will just leave there with dust…
Indeed hyundai makes good car but Sime Darby makes the worst marketing…

Does anyone know what’s with the new Hyundai Accent? I saw them on the road but it was not on the website. Are they grey imports?

Good one, good to hear that Kuantanis has more choice and support.

However, bad RV for kimchi car is a fact also.
