Proton Sepanjang Raya campaign – free 20-point safety inspection today at selected Petronas stations

proton sepanjang raya 1

In conjunction with Hari Raya and the upcoming holidays, Proton has announced a free 20-point safety inspection for Proton vehicles as part of its Sepanjang Raya festive campaign.

The three-day programme, which began on July 22 and ends today, is jointly organised with Petronas and the Petronas Coffee Break campaign. For those in the Klang Valley, the service will be available today at the Damansara-bound Petronas station on KM 15.3 on the NKVE, from 3 pm to 8 pm.

The press release didn’t mention it, but a check with the Proton Edar website lists three other locations aside from the one on the NKVE, these being:

  • BKE 2, Seberang Jaya (Butterworth-bound)
  • Ayer Keroh 3, Melaka
  • Gambang, Kuantan
  • Aside from the free 20-point safety inspection, customers will also be given free consultation on engine and car maintenance and educated on how to differentiate between genuine Proton parts and imitations. The company will also be giving away mystery gifts as a token of appreciation to customers.

Why do this when Proton has stolen so much from the rakyat the past 30 years?

Proton has been stealing from the rakyat for so many years now and everyone mudah lupa. After stealing so much, Proton is now about to take another 1700 million ringgit, money that can be used to build at least 10 fully functional Government hospitals and 10 fully functional government schools. Our taxpayers money.

Are you willing to support a company that has been sucking and sucking the rakyat’s money non stop? Instead of giving free 20 point check, isn’t better to give the rakyat cheaper cars to payback all the taxpayers money Proton has taken from the LHDN?

Because of Proton alone, we don’t have enough money to build more hospitals and schools. Every year Proton gets hundreds of million “free” money in the form of “grants”.

Have you ever gone to a government hospital at 2am taking your grandmother who cannot breathe and she has to wait 5 hours before she is attended and she dies?

If you have not, go to GH or UH emergency at 2am one night. Go and see how people suffer.

If Proton never existed, each state would have at least 5 more new hospitals to help the poor, elderly and needy.

Proton thinks by giving this free 20 point check, all Malaysians will forget the amount of our taxpayers money that has been used to sustain a failed company.

        Agreed!

However bravo to Proton offering extra services for its client.

To consider Proton build quality and fulfill the public need, Proton should make this free inspection available in MORE PLACES (5 to 10 locations every state) and LONGER PERIOD (monthly or quarterly).

It will show Proton is really taking care of its customer.

My fren..u forgot something. If not because of Proton, because of idea of Tun to have our own national car then other countries do not know the existence of Malaysia for the past 30 years. Yes, Proton one time has achieved their glory time. Who knows how much Proton have to pay for the government for tax?? Maybe because of the tax payment, more development has been built..school, hospital

Besides, this is not the right way/ channel you to condemn Proton. Paultan only doing their job to share the information. It is good information for sharing since Hari Raya only for next 2-3 days. People will leaving for Balik kampung. Congratulation for Proton because of their effort. Safety is first!!

Variants, sportivos, jom hebat sales carnivals, design competitions for school dropouts, and now 20 point free inspections.
They are not wrong but warmly welcomed by Proton fanboys.
My question is ” When are proton new models rolling out…Sept,Nov or Christmas?
As of May 2014,Proton only managed to sell 52000 cars…..a shocking sliding sales performance of only approx 10,000 cars monthly after more than 25 years of perlindungan.
By Christmas 2014,if things do not improve Proton will end up selling less than 120,000 cars.
Toyota and Honda combined sales should easily exceed 150000 units, with so many new launchings.
The picture painted by MAA statistics will wake up all at Proton and its huge bulk of diehard fanboys.
Proton ,please consider an honest proposal:just mass retrench, dont waste taxpayers Grants, convert yr factories to mega showrooms by being a giant AP King.
After more than 25 years,Proton is still struggling. You want to bleed for another 25 years,Mr Proton management?
