Aston Martin will be debuting its 2015 V12 Vantage S Roadster at the Pebble Beach Automotive Week next week. The open-top follows on the V12 Vantage S Coupe that premiered in May last year.
The Vantage S Roadster is powered by the same AM28 6.0 litre quad cam V12 as found on the Coupe, with 565 hp at 6,750 rpm and 620 Nm at 5,750 rpm. Performance-wise, it does the 0-100 km/h sprint in 3.9 seconds, identical to the hard top, but has a marginally slower top speed of 323 km/h to the hard top’s rated 328 km/h.
Like the Coupe, the Roadster will feature a rear, mid-mounted Sportshift III seven-speed automated manual transmission with an electronic shift-by-wire control system. Also on, the three-stage adaptive damping seen on the hard top.
The Vantage S Roadster is due to make its market debut later this year, and when it arrives on the scene will have the honour of being tagged the brand’s fastest as well as the fastest-accelerating series production roadster to date.

Please support national product and buy more Proton, their V12 vantages are depending on you.
Now you know why a Saga only make profit less than RM500, there is a lot of add-in cost.
Ok, am I the only one that thinks that this car doesn’t look good for something SO expensive? Especially the front I find particularly ugly. The smallish, non-sharp looking headlights with the DRLs coupled with the grille’s shape makes the car look blur. Do you want a blur looking sports car? The vents on the bonnet don’t do the front fascia any favors either.
The rear isn’t exactly much better than the front. The design on the whole just doesn’t look very cohesive. Like many design elements just trying to do their own things all separately and ignoring each other.
The side is about the only good angle that I can see from these pics.
I also have mixed feelings about the interior design of the car, from the look of the trim materials and the driver-machine interface. So you’re supposed to switch the autobox’s gear selection by reaching over and pushing the buttons on the center stack? Very novel but also very unnatural.
Just too much to say. I am usually not one to find so many faults with a car, particularly from a design standpoint cause it’s so subjective but this Aston Martin is just one of a kind.
