Inspired by MMC’s electric class 1-2 victory in the 2014 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia has set up the Mitsubishi Red Peak Challenge to highlight the capabilities of its 4X4 vehicles.
In the Red Peak Challenge, 4X4s like the Triton pick-up truck, Pajero Sport SUV and ASX compact crossover (4WD now available as a CKD model) will be put through a series of challenges including a 45-degree, 25-feet tall “sky ramp” that points to the sky. Other obstacles are the roller ramp test, side traverse and uneven ramp tests. All on a truck!
The series of roadshows will start on August 23-24 in Penang, at Queensbay Mall’s outdoor car park. Activities start at 10am and end at 8pm, with test rides finishing at 7pm. Admission is free, and visitors who book a Mitsubishi will receive a Ralliart car boot organiser. Merchandise will also be given to those who sign up for test drives, while stocks last.
The Mitsubishi Red Peak Challenge will make stops in the Klang Valley (Tesco Mutiara Damansara, September 6-7), Johor Bahru (Plaza Angsana Carpark A, September 13-14) and Kelantan (Stadium Kota Bharu, September 26-27).
