Sixteen years after the last one rolled off the production line, the Suzuki Vitara has finally been revived, this time as a small SUV that slots under the current Grand Vitara and looks to fight cars like the Nissan Juke, Peugeot 2008 and Ford EcoSport.
The styling is based on the iV-4 concept shown at last year’s Frankfurt Motor Show. Only one image and a teaser video have been released so far, but judging by how intact the concept’s design appears to be from the front, we’re expecting the rear of the car to be quite similar as well.
The Vitara will be available with a choice of petrol and diesel engines which Suzuki claim produce low carbon dioxide emissions as well as “outstanding” fuel economy in its class. Buyers will also be able to spec an optional ALLGRIP four-wheel drive system, as well as various colour and trim customisation options.
Making its debut at the Paris Motor Show in October, the new Suzuki Vitara will make its way to UK showrooms beginning next spring.

Looking to sell your car? Sell it with Carro.
As long as Suzuki under DRB, no way the Suzuki car prices can be reduced here.
Biggest joke from DRB Suzuki selling Swift at 65k onwards
while my frens origin from India told the starting from MYR 25k OTR at India
Boleh … Msia…
The legendary Vitara is back?
Mostly lower income Msian doesn’t care about legendary u talk about,
The PRICE is the only key determination on SALES figures.
How many SWIFT registered 2014, how much total sales figures from Suzuki in 2014 ???
hmm front grille abit like land rover
so is the side ‘gills’
concept looks much better and original
Actually I don’t see where’s the “land rover” in this vitara.sorry
hehe.meaning it’s upper middle class Evoque.Anyways I heard Vezel is reaching out shore…or it is already here…?:)))
This’s good if debut here with reasonable price with safety spec.
This Vitara a will good to go.
Hmm….interesting. After a long silence, finally some news from Suzuki’s corner. They too have joined the B-segment SUV, huh? I gotta say the front 3-quarter view looks good. Stylish and modern.
Quite curious about its mechanicals. Suzuki’s engines have not been very outstanding so far (not too bad either) so it’ll be interesting to see what they have come up with. They didn’t promise high performance, though. Also, ALLGRIP sounds like a full-time 4WD (AWD) system.
Current Vitara (albeit called Grand Vitara) has been around a loooongg time. Still looks nice despite the age though. Hoping that the new Vitara maintains the longitudinal engine layout with rear wheel drive or AWD option.
middle class’s Evoque?
say the price 90k, loan 80k 5yr int 2.5% =1500/mth. so to own this, income at least 8k (15% of income).
hehe.meaning it’s upper middle class Evoque.Anyways I heard Vezel is reaching out shore…or it is already here…?:)))
Macam mini Rover Evoque..
looks abit like evoque from a glance
This design is far better than the current Vitara. Just the pricing is in question here. Let’s just see how Suzuki decide on that.
Good choice over a Rover..
Hehe. .
mini range rover evoque
All wheel drive + turbo = win
As long as its not a kimchi, it will have RV
At 4200mm long and 1660mm high, this fella’s handling quality should not be good as per his siblings
wow, clampshell bonnet design. Noise from engine will be considerably reduced.
This new Suzuki design is refreshing and aggressive. The frontage resembles the lower jaw of the Vios.
Since proton,Suzuki,Honda belongs to DRB group, why cant Proton collaborate with Suzuki?Mitsubishi has already cabuted long ago,Proton needs a partner urgently.
Maybe, the Japanese are tired of our politics and everlasting perlindungan policies.
As a consumer, it would be great for Proton to rebadge and assemble this SUV in Malaysia. Then come out in the range of 50-60K pricing. It will trash M4, ecosport, 2008 etc. Don’t they know there is a big market for this type of car?
funky…i hope it comes with a strong engine…the ones on the current civic are kinda weak
front-concept – look like nissan
front-real – look like evoque
