JPJ releases ceiling prices for driving school courses

jpj-ceiling-prices-driving-courses

The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has posted ceiling prices for driving school courses on its Facebook page. All driving institutes and schools must not charge more than these figures for their courses, it said.

Additionally, any driving institute or school charging more than these prices for their courses can be reported to [email protected] or directly to the state JPJ director (Pengarah JPJ Negeri) and director of driver licensing (Pengarah Pelesenan Pemandu) at Head Office, it said.

The release of the ceiling prices predate the implementation of the new Drivers’ Education Curriculum (KPP) syllabus, which has been postponed from August 1. The new curriculum is said to focus on producing courteous and disciplined drivers, rather than the current curriculum’s said dexterity and traffic rule comprehension.

Quite expensive nowadays to get license…….
The higher the cost of getting license…the higher the possibility of undertable money to gerenti lulus the applicant….

        To parent’s.
        I prefer choose public transport.

Expensive in the quest to obtain a driving license. A middle class people already feel the pinch, whats else on the lower income group.
The prices also yet to include the GST!

Like or Dislike: Thumb up 2 Thumb down 1
  • ahmadjohnson97 on Sep 17, 2014 at 11:47 am

JPJ should just abolish the D-class automatic or restrict it to only for old or disable people. Just take a cheaper normal D-class which is cheaper and can drive both manual and automatic cars afterwards.

Saya setuju harga ambil lesen agak mahal. Dulu ayah dan ibu saya penoreh getah pendapatan tak seberapa. Membesarkan 8 org anak. Hey!. Saya ambil lesen pakai duit sendiri la selepas beberapa tahun menggunakan pengangkutan awam dan jalan kaki. Jangan manjakan anak sangat. Nak lesen kumpul duit sendiri. Kalau sikit lagi tak cukup baru parent topop kan. Atleast ada afford. Kalau kita tak bagi rasuah, rasuah tak akan berlaku. Bukan kita bagi rasuah lepas itu sembunyi tangan kita Dan kata orang tu makan rasuah.
