Congratulation Proton. Most rakyat are with you.
Asiah lawa….Iriz pun lawa, awesome & full of safety features. Jutaan tahniah Proton.
Today I’ll give my vote to………… Proton Iriz!!
Malaysians never learn their lesson. Every car after the Saga, Proton promised that the following car was world standards and would impress all Malaysians. When they launched the Wira, they said the same things and proved the same things as they are saying about the PCC now. That was 20 years ago. All the young cikus commenting in PT are all young kids who don’t know what happened even 10 years ago because they were doing their SRP or Form 1 then.
Those old enough will remember. From Saga, Iswara, Wira, Waja etc etc, every model, Proton promised the world. Even when Waja came out, they said it was the BMW of Malaysia and would compete with BMW directly and will banish BMW completely. Then everybody saw how the WAJA was so low in quality.
Before they launched WAJA, they did the same hype they are doing now for the PCC. Same modus operandi and everything the same. All the reviews were top notch. But then, all the Waja buyers all sang a different tune few years later. It became a rubbish car.
The problem with people now in PT, they are all very young. Some even college students. They don’t know what happened from 1985 onwards when the first Saga was launched.
If you follow the trend, every year from 1985, every single model had top notch reviews. Everything also was 5 stars.
So, we wait just 2 more years. I assure you, you will see the same complaints and anger from buyers. Don’t fall for the conjob of Proton, they are an insincere company just sucking our money dry.
They are sucking the government in the billions per year and every years, so many road deaths are because of Proton’s low quality. When airbags were introduced over 15 years ago, Proton insisted they were unnecessary until only 5 years ago. 10 years went by with no airbags but every other car had airbags. Proton said airbags were nonsense and it shortchanged many Malaysians resulting in the tens of thousands of deaths in Malaysia due to lack of airbags.
Malaysians are very funny. When they go to the pasar and buy fish, if the fish monger sells them bad fish, the next visit to the pasar, they will always go to another fish monger.
But when Proton is concerned, already kena tipu from your Iswara and Wira, Malaysians still keep on buying from the same company to be cheated again.
This is not small amount. This is RM60k. It is big money. It is not like you buy a handphone and you not happy with it, you just trade in and buy another better handphone. At RM60k, you are just stuck with a big big commitment. And based on track record of Proton the past 30 years, it is proven not to be that good.
Same old story from Iswara, Wira, Proton Knight, Proton Aeroback, Waja, Arena, Juara, Satria, Neo, Preve…….same old story.
Malaysians just fall for all the marketing, hype and propoganda.
Malaysians don’t learn their lesson.
Bodoh.
It is solely because of Proton that 30 million people in Malaysia suffer. Everybody’s biggest payment per month is their cars as we are paying overpriced cars. Don’t know why Malaysians are excited about Proton.
You see, in the 80s or even in the early 90s, you can get a brand new Nissan 130Y or a Toyota Corolla for RM20,000. Now, the same car is RM139,000.
In truth, the past 30 years, car prices have come down a lot globally and have NOT gone up due to inflation. It has come down due to economies of scale achieved by car companies. This is proven by the fact that you can get a brand new purely Japan made top spec Toyota Camry 2.5 with 9 airbags in the US for US$22,000. That is about RM60,000. The normal B segment car like the Almera is sold in the US for US$9,999. (RM30,000). Mind you, this is after Toyota and Nissan of the US has made their margin and profits and the US government has collected taxes and duties from Nissan and Toyota. The direct from factory prices is far cheaper. UMW will get the above 2.5 Camry for US$15,000 from their principal in Japan. As our Camry is CKD, the price is even lower than that.
So, in actual fact, most Malaysians can enjoy cheap and reasonable cars but because of Proton, all the other car prices have been raised up tremendously to protect Proton. Malaysians have already suffered so much. For 30 years, 30 million people suffer so much. We struggle paying for our high car prices all because of one man’s dream of benefiting his friends and relatives and forcing the dying Proton to live with billions of our LHDN money, money which could be used to build more schools and hospitals.
If we did not have Proton sucking money from LHDN, each state can have an addition 10 fully fledged government hospitals and 10 fully fledged government schools every 10 years being built. But all our LHDN money go to the failing Proton.
Proton also cost us hundreds of billions in ringgit in investments from car companies who moved to Thailand and Indonesia. Car companies got fed up with Malaysia’s MITI for protecting Proton and telling other companies what to price their cars. They got sick and tired of the AP system and how genuine brands cannot get enough APs to import their cars in (like Mercedes, BMW and Honda).
They thought that if they set up their brands and plants in Malaysia, they knew they had to give 30% of their hard earned company free away as well as being told by MITI what to price their cars. They all moved their operations to Thailand making it the AutoCity of the world.
Recently GM announced that they rolled out already 1 million cars from Thailand. Imagine if GM was in Malaysia and we taxed GM RM10,000 per car. Calculate that with 1 million cars. Just from GM alone, we lost Billions in USD. Imagine what will the amount be from other car companies if they had set up in Malaysia?
Because of Proton, we lost hundreds of billion of ringgit in investment and trillions of ringgit from jobs lost. If Malaysia was the autocity of Asia, hundreds of thousands of jobs would have been created for Malaysians. We lost all that. Trillions of Ringgit and hundreds of thousands of jobs. Now, Thailand is benefiting from this trillions lost.
Car companies are flocking to invest hundreds of billions in Thailand despite Thailand being an unstable government, unstable economy and full of bomb blastings and terror.
Yet, global car companies still prefer Thailand.
All because of Proton.
Halo anak haram. Aku punya pasal la. Ko secerdik lembu pun nak sombong ke?
Lol even thai almera coz more than RM30k for almera with 1.2L engine…
Schmuck. You are just one badly raised up boy. I guessed your parents also behaved like you.
Delay as bolehland standard. Luckily is not global standard.
Proton fail because of this kind of management. Delay as standard. Never change the mindsets.
Whole world waiting for him.
He’s old need to take medicine before coming. Later half way fall down because cucu(iriz) birthday party.
Tengkorak ko! Proton will launch it at 10.30am whereby 9a.m is starting time for the medias including this paultan.
Come on please show some support on our local car. Proton did some good job.
“I just flew back from London ” !!!
LOL
If Proton can sell Iriz 1 million units globally (against Ford Fiesta), i’ll run semi nude wearing only tiger-stripes seluar dalam from Tg Malim to Shah Alam.
Any takers?
Takde siapa nak layan pesakit mental gila sukan bogel macam ko ni!!
Dont need 1 mil la. If they can sell more than Axia, I will join you.
Elok bebenor le tu….2 ekor pesakit mental berganding tangan lari bogel.
maybe not a single iota or brain cell left in their heads
Deal! lets see
Aren’t you tired/ sick of flooding every Proton-related post with this comment?
Bro, go consult a psychiatrist.
I hear the DRB Chairman speech I nearly vomited my breakfast which I ate 2 hours ago. 99% of speech is carrying DrM balls and not about IRIZ.
Mr DRB Chairman, whatever you name is, no one interested in your past as a CBU car salesman. We only interested in IRIZ.
“Jangan masuk bakul dan angkat sendiri”
.
Thats a rhetorical statement la. Yes proton has taken the whole country for a super ride. One man’s megalomaniac dream has turned into a non ending nightmare for all Malaysians
3,2,1………
If you believe in Proton, you should believe that Genneva Gold is good legit investment too. And yes, promoted by the same old salesman also.
Awat ko merapu ni? Pagi2 lagi dah pekena ketum ke?
3,2,1………….
As always, a comment from a failed & useless Malaysian.
Peyno must buy a Proton Iriz and link the photo (proof of purchase) here. Cakap mesti serupa bikin, ok.
If not, then it’s true that Peyno is really sick hypocrite Proton macai that wasted 6 years in Japan selling his banana to hungry ninjas.
p2 macai spotted
missing otak detected.
After 6 mths, u go SC check how many scrap car park there then only can know which is most failure product. Hope u can make a report and post here to tell public which car should buy.
Proven. Many peoples out there still loved P1.
I just drove past by Jalan Duta toll and I saw a billboard of the new Proton PCC. Yeap, it really is IRIZ. At first I thought it was Onz because it was in the tagline. Stupid one, really.
I guess it was Perodua that started this tread…. LAGI BEST! >_>
Agreed. That onz tagline is really stupid.
Although the car looks very promising.
Eagerly waiting fo the launching
Still waiting… there is no live in the TV?
I’m excited and I’m a potential basher.
Bashing… that’s the only thing idiots know. Indians already reached Mars but Malaysians still looking down and bashing own products.
Go ahead and buy Proton. Happy wasting your unpaid leave at service centre soon ok.
old minded n old type of bashing style
Good car. Wait for the new launch. Will see Tun smiling all the way, hope Najib is invited as well and we’ll see their reaction.
Najib in New York
Congratulation & all the best Proton. Make us proud.
3,2,1………..
alrights Nice… come on Proton!
What song was that?
Shattered Dreams – by Johny Hates Jazz.
Perfect song for those blind macai that really believed Proton changed a lot but still the same old crap.
Does He Love You – Rilo Kiley. Shazamed.
I wish Proton all the best! Hope this model will help increase the brand standards. Malaysia Boleh!
Yes Iriz will become No.1 best-selling car in Singapore.
If No.1 in Singapore, sure can become No.1 also in USA, England, Germany, Japan, China and Zimbabwe.
Malaysia Time Launching PCC ???? hAHAHAH. LAGGING/ no wonder always lagging behind others. asad
What is the time now pl ?? business. can’t wait longer.///??.
Thumbs up for launching the car on 9 am instead of 9 pm like that of Axia. Many of us will make a beeline to the showrooms during lunch hour.
nobody said launching at 9 am bodo..read carefully starts at 9 am onwards..bodo tu simpan sikit..
kenapa said starts at 9am onwards….kenapa tak cakap starts FROM 9am onwards…
All the best Proton, looks very promising this one.
On a side note; LAMBATTTTTTT
ヽ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)ノ Launch IRIZ now or RIOTヽ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)ノ
Come on.. support malaysian product, we must change mentallity..go proton!!
this car supposed to be the game changer for Proton…will reserve my comments until test drive the real car
my initial thought is it looks quite nice except the rear bumper…it seems proton always like to design rear bumper with diffuser
Every Proton models supposed to be a game changer but end up to be game over.
PLEASE! I hope it is not Hisham Othman who is going to do the epic fail speech like what he did with Suprima S.
He dont know a single cent about Proton even from the basic model!
He brags about proton suprima being the 1st with LED lights instead Saga FL and Exora already been using it.
And brags about 427 litres of Bootspace and tells you to get more get a lorry when you can get bigger boot space but cheaper like Almera or Attrage!!
please not him, it will make proton go down the drain.
Faking it? No! Go and watch the Suprima launching!
My device can support streaming but my internet connection doesnt… :(
Proton Iriz having a birth difficulty or the engine cannot start?….ha..ha already delay an hour.
p2 umw macai n salesman
lets work together
remember savvy?? timing chain?? japan dna., daihatsu engine bla bsl
Dulu P1 ckp Preve pun nk jadi global car. Berala byk dah jual kat abroad?
Sekarang Iriz plak. Same la nsib dgn Preve. Company lain every 5 years tukar model baru. Tpi Persona, Exora dh dekat sedekad asyik facelift je.
Lntak la P1 fanboys nk marah ke ape ke..tpi P1 ni xde kemahuan nk berubah. Belajar la dgn company lain. Nk harap pasaran local saje susah la.
Tak apa. Kalau rugi dekat 1 billion pun, EPF or Petronas can help bail out.
Ingat senang ke nak change model? keje sana la baru tau
Lagi senang minta MITI duit 1.7 billion.
If not capable to produce competitive good car, then just close shop, don’t be a burden to the country and rakyat.
Dah kalau xnak tukar model every 5 years cycle, P1 x pyah la merungut sales kurang.
Kejadah setiap kali org tegur P1 kna keje sane baru tau susah nk buat kete. Ni charity ke ape P1 ni? Haha
Dh nmpk sgt kebodohannya…… Kalu tk minat takyah komen negatif….
what pot are you on? kerja sana la baru tau…
Bodo tu simpan sikit..
Diamlah Joanna Ghazali!
Duduk kat Australia bukan Malaysia!
Lepas tu kerja awak kutuk Malaysia sahaja!
Sbb tu, Tun cakap orang mcm awak x pernah bersyukur!
P2 lansung tak buat kereta tak nak pula cakap lebih2. Bangang ko ni. P2 amek model dari Daihatsu tukau bumper n lampu pon ko tak komen dekat 15 tahun. Bangang lagi aku bagi kat ko.Development cost almost 500mil per car. P2 tak perlu modal banyak tu sebab amek dari Daihatsu. Bangang lagi aku bagi dekat ko. Siapa tak nak berubah? Tu Proton buat open day Sat & Sun ni.DATANG TENGOK SENDIRI R&D. at least P1 buat kereta sendiri dari besi bukan main tukau2 lampu and bumper. Nak komen STUDY dulu pasal AUTOMOTIVE. bukan main BASH macam kaum lagi 1 tu!
ko kutuk2 ni macam la org ingat ko import car owner
rakyat tau laa ko setakat macai pakai perodua jee
sebab tu tak komen pasal myvi yg x tukar model dok
facelift jee
rakyat dah bijak dahhh
Cheap?? That car price cheap in it own country?? HAHAHAHAHA LMAO, it’s so damn expensive for it own country. Go see japan made cars price selling in it own country.. Stupid saying it’s cheap in Malaysia.
Made by Malaysian for Malaysian?! more like made by Malaysian to “cekik darah” Malaysia.
did u say the same to perodua???
tu laennnn
too late p1. we have given up on you a long time a go.
we??? u meant p2 macai n umw
wow… DRB Chairman = Steve Ballmer?!
Dun talk too much until it is deliver…
The design is good but the rough and unrealiable campro engine will fail the car.
After 10 years since gen 2 (2004), not much improvement on pick-up, fuel efficiency and reliability.
Another fail garbage in the making.
I have been driving a Proton Perdana for many years and is still driving. However, I have to take the following precautions:-
1. Carry additional water and engine oil just in case the engine overheated.
2.Dare not use power window scared that it will not go up after coming down.
3. Having humming sound from oil tank that prevents me for driving for distances more than an hour.
4. Fuel gauge not working and have to pump in RM100 pertrol every 10 days.
5. Speedometer not working so cannot try at higher speed.
6. Very high consumption of fuel.
I like your sarcasm..
Kancilution owner spotted.
Tahniah Proton diatas pelancaran model terbaru. Insyallah akan beli nanti. Sokong Malaysia, bangga jadi rakyat Malaysia.
Very impressive about this Proton Iriz.
Exterior wise, it is very stylish. Interior, i must say they made a huge leap from the likes of Preve, Suprima S and Satria Neo. (i like the term “contemporary” as from the walkaround video, the interior resembles a bit like audi-ish.)
Fuel consumption, though it is not top of the class here, its a good start for Proton as the previous Campro engine drinks fuel like drinking water. But still, real-life FC remains to be seen later on.
Drivetrain wise, i have absolutely no complains. Manual or CVT? Finally we get to choose what we want (i want manual!).
Infotainment and reverse camera is across the range? OMG not even my mk6 golf got this!
Rim wise is up to own preference. While it looks nice and representing the IRIZ theme, I still prefer the sporty 5 spoke. But no complaint here. Its decent.
Many other things and features i can only comment after i have seen the car myself.
(P/S: i think they should fire their event planner and presentation leader? Hate those dancers and those advertisement in cinemas. Too boot-licking and over-flamboyant. Live video wise, only the spec introduction is good, the rest is actually unnecessary and redundant)
Ada juga orang komen detail macam u until Drivetrain. Respect!
There are so many negative comment here..from P2 seller or myvi addicted user that think their car faster than ferrari in the highway. At least let the car in the market. Listen to the owner comment and then judge it. If u dont like P1 car is fine. Go and buy Super Japanese recond car for 150k and be proud of it…
they buy myvi coz the cant afford real japs car 150k… end up with perodua
hahahhah
Cakap je lebih. Let the buyer decide la nak beli kereta apa pun.
Maybe these people had bad experience dgn PROTON maa or they fed up with the NAP policies and they want to improve their life…kalau tak tahan dengan kritikan…get out from Malaysia laaa…
way to go iriz
proton iriz is packed with solid credentials but somehow i don’t feel the urge to rush out for the car. oops!after GST (come April car prices are supposed to be lower (this is what the government is telling us )
Some good and bad speeches… not to mention names but one particular speaker obviously need a speech writer…
Hi, I bought new myvi se 1.3 10months ago, with the release of iriz, i plan to trade in my 10 month myvi with iriz 1.3 standard cvt,(ps: personally i can’t paid too much money for changing a new car, because i am just student, i know if i have no money i should just shut up, but iriz is far more safety and catches my heart.I always travel from malacca to kl on highway so it’s better to get a safer and smoother ride and handling, if I have to paid too much for iriz after traded in myvi then I will not change my car).
i bought myvi se 1.3 for rm48k, currently the car is 10months old, I plan to trade in myvi and buy a iriz standard cvt cost rm45k. Any dealer out there can offer best price?
