SPYSHOTS: Mysterious Mercedes-Benz Concept with skinny tyres – could this be shown at CES 2015?

Mercedes-Concept-2

Our spy photographers sent us photos of a mysterious covered up Mercedes-Benz concept car. The roofline is pretty unique to say the least, and the one-box shape features skinny tyres that look almost like space savers could indicate some kind of eco or electric car theme.

Since the company is participating in Consumer Electronics Show 2015 (CES) with Daimler CEO Dr Dieter Zetsche set to present a keynote on autonomous vehicle technology, we think this concept car could possibly be the centrepiece of the company’s stand at CES. CES is after all a technology showcase, so showcasing a car with self-driving capabilities there would make sense.

Mercedes-Benz has been producing marvelous products recently. I must say that they have great vision as well on the sustainability of mobility.

  • Hi readers, could anyone please shed some light on how much rare earth is required to produce a lithium ion battery for a standard EV car like Tesla?

I’m just wondering whether environmental benefits of EV cars outweighs the harm or damaged it brings to our environment (e.g. to harvest rare earth).

China is largest rare earth producer is polluting their own country badly..

Yum yum yum! Looks like a low Co-efficient of Drag to me.. It would be a pity to waste it on a gasser..but it looks as if there are no fender skirts..Why not? They really perk up performance and lower drag.. & Alas! an EV would not need a scrim for a radiator.
O well, it is good practice for when they commit to electricity!
But why do we have to Wait??????
