why suddenly so cheap…
must got problem with their sales
Sam Loo you really lose again
Renault… good and bad. Don’t expect sushi car reliability and RV then, but however it is a conti car.
Everyone has their preference and buy on their need. We don’t force ppl to buy our car by getting the government to impose ridiculous excise duty import tax or seek more protection like RM1.6bil.
Renault or Toyota, they both are not parasite car maker.
The Fluence is not a true blue French Renault model like Clio and Megane. It has Korean input and meant for budget market .
Not to mention it has a Nissan drivetrain. Sushi reliability, yo!
That’s BS. The Fluence is a Megane sedan… and the Megane is purely Renault. The only Korean influence the stupid looking nose and that it is produced in Korea (the one Malaysia gets).
KadaJawi..That shows that you are just another sales man here. Fluence is not the megane sedan as megane sedan is totally a different car and a non attractive nose of the car does not make a car bad overall. Yes i aint buying this version of Fluence but i got my mom bought it and its a better car to drive for that price buddy.so drive and know it first …
After Sales Service & Warranty? Tick
Safety & Gadgets? Tick
European Handling? Tick
Japanese Reliability? Tick (old sylphy engine & CVT)
Class leading interior? Uhmm…
Resale value? Arghh…..
*Don’t get me wrong. Its actually fantastic. Only recommended if u take 5 years loan max.
janji dicepati
Good job Renault…aimed squarely at VW…now only VW “gelabah” to provide Courtesy for its unreliable cars…hahahaha idiotic VW
Renault is just at the beginning.. When VW doesn’t provide courtesy, people keep complaining about it and now VW provides courtesy car, people condemn again.. Haizz..
As a Malaysian, i have no idea why Malaysian always like to condemn..
At a sub 100k price, for what is essentially a fully loaded C segment sedan, with lots of space and safety, plus the reliability and economy of the last generation Sylphy, it is pretty impressive value.
Yes, now reasonable price, not cheap yet because taxes are still there. This should be the max price for a fully loaded 2.0L C-segment car in Malaysia (30% reduction from Altis 140k with safety pac).
Aftersales service and parts are important if we don’t want to talk about RV.
which is a better buy? peugeot 408 turbo or fluence for sub100K car?
I’d say the Fluence, if you are close enough to a SC. More reliable, better service and you’ll be able to get the engine and gearbox fixed at any Nissan specialist.
good stuff…
unfortunately for renault, srjkc folks will still go for their godcar, ie. vios/city
There can be only 1 Godcar.
subjective design. not to my taste though.price is superb.
Uhhh.. I don’t see any such offer on both websites?
But seriously 99.5k is quite attractive! Is this offer valid for a limited time only?
what i know is that, in website mostly they have included the original price and the 99,500 comes with the promotion la bro. also they have advertised about the initial promotion at website too..i got confused at the begining but seems its true:)
99.5k? I thought I just read 115k not too long ago.
Year end sale I guess…
i would avoid this car, as taxi in singapore, i rode in them constantly.
the suspension is incredible fussy, every bump and niggle goes into the car. and this is singapore where roads are smooth.
It is funny that you ‘rode them constantly’ and can’t tell the difference between a Renault Latitude and Renault Fluence. ;/
Different car all together mate! Seems like you’re a Singaporean wanna be.
The Renault taxi model in SG is the Renault Latitude.
Yup. The SG renault taxi is not the fluence. And go and try first la before comment from the other countries specs as sometimes it differes from country to country. SG also have bently has premium taxi so bently is bad? hahahaha
A really value for money. Even if its renault brand. Excellent for those middle income family who keeps their car for at least 7 years.
So the goverment really is lowering foreign car price. The price for this kind of car usually RM120k or more.
Thanks Dato Seri Najib
Didn’t drive the Fluence, but when I sat in one it did feel conti, good driving position and I must say it is quite a big car for a C-segmenter.
Test drove the Clio RS, that engine is on steroids yo! AT means less exciting lah, but lets be realistic with Malaysian jams and all.
Go to the one in Glenmarie, the salesperson then was kind.
went to Renault Glenmarie today. The 99,500 is different from the 115,000 offer.115,000 is original price then now we get rebate under 0% interest free offer for 3 years when price comes down to 107,000 and then wout leather seats and 5 years maintenance its 95,000.But the rest of the package still the same which for me is still a value for money la.I agree with ICMS …value for money..
Promotion and offer/sale, both must be genuine.
If you see a person wearing Rolex and you suddenly want to sell your Fluence to his son at RM115 888 instead of 99500, then you cannot get him to sign.
Price discrimination has a limit. I acknowledge it is present everywhere.
Please, all the non-mainstream cars/vehicles, take care of your aftersales service and parts availability.
agreed jimmy. Well i shared what i have found in glenmarier and as said they do not sell in both prices and its genuine 99,500. Depends which variation i want to buy la.
Much more worth it if this is the latest facelifted Renault Fluence which has better-designed front grille & LED DRLs.The response from the public should be much better..
But still , you can’t get any better offer than this!
Why many people are not so interested in Pug 408 or something like that at 95k? Sorry, not very familiar with the model and exact price.
No dealers located in Johor! :(
I agree. Fortunately there is a good service center near Giant Plentong.
We want competitions.
So I can get cheap Mitsu Lancer with Renault badge……? And the good thing there’s no dealership at Sabah….
The one and only reason Renault is desperate is there’s close to zero sales on this model. Face it. No car manufacturer is going to give you unbelievable deals if their car is selling well. Profit is #1 in their priorities.
wrong..i saw renault started awesome after sales package with courtesy car which VW,Peugoet etc have started to follow now. And its a reasonable promotion for a car company at december. Get a YTD sales copy from the agecy buddy and u will see that the sale of Fluence is not bad with that not so attractive looking car compare to 408.Its a good marketing effort for them i will say
Renault is not the first one to launches this type of after sales service, it already been started by the other car’s company such as Ford,Mazda and VW. For sales of Renault Fluence, i don’t think it’s better than Peugeot or even VW as i can see more VWs on the road nowadays.. I can’t see even one Renault’s car on the road in KL. BTW, this will be a good starting for Renault.
well bro i drive a ford and so far i know renault started it at may with 5 years full manufacturers warranty n 5 yrs mntnce with labour n parts as well as pick up for every services and the courtesy cars. I didnt get any from mine so far n full manufacturer warranty wasnt there for others. correct me if i m wrong (I can be wrong of course hahah). I dont sell Renault la but it seems good stuff from them so far but lets see the long run :)
Have to say sorry to Eric Cheng of Renault Sri Hartamas as
my partner cited RV as a reason of not buying Renault Fluence as our company car. However, my pick still go to Fluence after tested so many cars; Nissan Teana,Slyphy,
Hundai I40, I30, Toyota Altis 1.8, Honda Civic, accord..
Reason as being it has the best value in C,D segment,
best power to weight ratio, very good drivebility..
yours sincerely, eric cheng.
i mean, kenny chin.
that is cheap if you see with the car equipped with a keyless entry and start system,
GPS navigation, reverse camera, Bluetooth connectivity, cruise control, plus automatic lights and wipers and bla bla bla.
But how come so cheap?? have any sales problem like vw since they have issues?
braderr, sell cheaper mins doesn’t mean they have issue laa. Vw had some issue previously but now coming back on track. Such as the next Volkswagen Golf GTI Mk8 will receive 10-speed DSG. They will keep on giving better technology for people like us.
you think the issue with dsg all these while is due to the NUMBER of gears it has?
dear lord. go…just go away pls
I think he meant VW had improved a lot already and they had debuted the all new Golf GTI MK8 which has 10 Speed DSG. BTW,DSG issue had been solved by changing mineral oil.
thats funny that you have lowered down the engine oil and the DSG problem solved?? common…thats just a BS for now till the new issue comes up as well as they do not know what will happen in long terms by using mineral oil for a superior engine haha. I have 2 of my friends using MK8 and they want to just sell them off. My Gold Gti also visits their after sales every alternative months…
is this car better when compare to vw, audi, volvo or bmw?
In my opinion, you cant actually compare much..for example with vw, it depends on ur budget, ur driving style and etc. But VW always come up with new technologies.
