We now have the first revealing photos of the Malaysian-spec 2015 Nissan X-Trail. This base 2.0 litre, 2WD model was spotted at JPJ Putrajaya by reader Akmal Azmi, giving us an early peek at what we’ll be getting soon, both inside and out.
First up, it looks like the more affordable 2.0 litre variant will lose out on the LED projector headlamps we’ve seen on international models, but other than that, it looks very fine indeed. Foglamps, LED daytime running lights (or positioning lamps), 17-inch wheels plus chrome door handles and silver roof rails are all there.
A closer look also reveals that it will get keyless entry (button on the front door handles), fabric seats, cruise control and dual-zone automatic climate control with rear air-con vents. You can tell that it’s a 2WD model by the lack of a 4×4 rotary selector on the centre console.
The third-generation Nissan X-Trail was revealed in Europe last year, before being shown at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show. It was then revealed that we’ll be getting locally-assembled (CKD) versions of the new SUV soon, but not before it went on sale in Indonesia and Thailand first. As for pricing, how does under RM150k sound?

Looking to sell your car? Sell it with Carro.
Any sign of 6 airbags and VSC?
6 airbags, vsc, 7 seater?
The jpj car is a 7 seater.
great, 7seater 2.0 base spec price it at Rm140k to 150k will sell
Looks like the rear does not have reverse sensors…Nissan will be making the same mistake as Honda with their CRV which came with reverse camera only and they added reverse sensors later on after customers complain about it.
I’m so excited for this car. please come faster and please dont compromise on safety features.
FWD for this heavy chunk of metal? You’re gonna have a bad time….
For 150 K, can Nissan produce a better frontal grille? It looks like Superman’s silver coated underwear.
Look at the front grille, there is a camera. I think it has all round monitor like the Elgrand
If price at 150k for 2.0l is expensive as compare other same segment car. The price definite below 150k.
meaning no more 2.5l petrol anymore??
Still have 2.5l, they will offer the 4×4 mode with it also but price will be under RM170K
External looks especially front grille is elegant. However, the internal design especially dashboard looks so ordinary, particularly to this JPJ version. Thai version is better. TC, can do something?
TC will screw up the specs and pricing again, just like what they did with Sylphy and Teana.
150k sounds way overpriced for this cheap car. With petrol off subsidies, new car models should be much lower. It wont affect new or 2nd hand car dealers as its a new product unlike existing ones.
can’t wait for it to launch next year! it’s gonna be excited!
its gonna be exciting..
Hope got 2.0 with 4X4 too.
The first generation 2.5 X-trail have served my family well apart of the fracture hand (my dad) during an accident. I have tested the Nissan 3rd Generation. 3rd Generation X-Trail has 4 cameras angle (360 degree view) and its beautiful. You wont regret experiencing one.
Hope that the final revision on the new Nissan X-trail have a good double touch screen HU, sound system (perhaps BOSE or JBL), 6 airbags (not 2 airbags for safety), good workmanship on their assembly and NOT giving a kosong “K” spec to compete with Madza CX5.
Please don’t disappoint my family and me as I will be the first buyer to be at your Tan Chong Nissan showroom if your final specs are good. Hint: Only the 2.5 will have the 4×4.
not like the usual Nissan style eh, I thought I m entering year 2020 already next year eh
TC don’t wait until next year GST then lauch……..
I think it will be in the showroom by next week.
I already booked this 2015 xtrail with minimum RM1k, very attractive price and superb design. Will launch this week and maybe 1st customer..new technology packed with this SUV world first : AEB /ARC/ATC + HSA and HDC..value for money with 5 + 2 seaters.
I am so jealous of you…
I can’t understand why nissan install the outdated cd radio instead of dvd.
Hi…Paul…Xtrail launch yet …they said 2014 … now 2015!
