Toyota Hilux TRD Sportivo spotted on trailer in Sabah

toyota-hilux-trd-sportivo-spotted-sabah-d

The new Toyota Hilux TRD Sportivo, which broke cover last month, is making its way into showrooms, by the looks of it – reader Ng Han Wah came across trailer loads of the 2015 N70 Hilux in Sabah, with the dressed-up variant featuring rather prominently.

The Hilux TRD Sportivo – available in both 3.0 litre and 2.5 litre forms – adds on TRD front and rear bumpers, decals and TRD combination leather seats that feature red stitching on the black leather upholstery. It also gets bumper-mounted LED daytime running lights, and its alloy wheels are done in black.

Also sighted on the transporters were regular 2.5G and 3.0G variants, which now also come dressed with the bumper-mounted LED DRLs. The wheels of the G grade Hilux have also been given a minor cosmetic revision, now finished in dark grey. No mechanical changes, and so the 144 PS and 343 Nm 2KD-FTV VNT 2.5 litre and 163 PS and 343 Nm 1KD-FTV 3.0 litre common rail turbodiesels (and four-speed auto transmission) continue on as is.

As previously reported, the Hilux Double Cab TRD Sportivo 2.5G AT goes for RM104,686 (solid) and RM105,372 (metallic), while the Hilux Double Cab TRD Sportivo 3.0G AT is priced at RM112,967 (both solid and metallic).

You guys don’t buy Iriz (especially the Proton fanboys), how Proton can balance their account?

Eventually government has to fork out money for Proton, here comes high tax for foreign cars.

However, for this Hilux, you pay a little more, save a lot of future repair and break down. It is really reliable.

Lastly, you don’t like Toyota, you no need surrender passport balik kampung or get out of Malaysia/Japan, we believe in free trade and people buy our cars because our cars are good, not because our cars are cheap (new Proton are not cheap anyway now).

just when you think you have seen all the strange, clearly afterthought DRL mounting place of many cars available, here comes the strangest looking kind. i mean, really?? can’t toyota think of a better way to make the car looks better anymore?

  • Low class mentality of UMW Toyota when Thailand’s all new Hilux just around the corner and much improved version compared to current IMV models (since 2005).

If Malaysians too carried away with badge it’s not a good thing from consumer point of view. If you’re looking for more passenger bias with muktilinslks suspension better wait for Nussan NP300 Navara

Meanwhile Ford and Dodge show how you do in house tuning… the Ford Raptor and Dodge RAM Runner are proper trucks. Increased suspension travel (especially the Dodge can take any punishment… it’s built to go off-roading at high speeds) and around 400 hp.

Umw manage to imprint a concrete perception into Malaysian whom loved to fed with mumbo jumbo and easily believed and stand by it be it rain or shine.
Thats how they manage to do absurd marketing which will work last time. They still think it is working and they are right. What they refuse to accept is suppport is getting lesser by each year.
TRD hilux, guess the sticker alone add loads of hp.
